regularly attend "services" but by the number of people who have ever
had anything to do with them on any level, even simply buying a book
will go toward that statistic.
David Miscaivage, the current leader of the cult is big on property
quotations because the numbers actually completing courses etc have
been steadily declining since the mid nineties, with only a small
increase around 2000 before resuming its previous trend. If you
compare his speeches from back then to any made in the past 4 years,
which stand in stark contrast to this, quoting ream after ream of
"completions" (courses etc completed) .
Right now it's all about bilking their remaining membership for
everything they have to buy big new shiny buildings, which inevitably
end up practically deserted as the people who paid for it are left
with nothing.
