Healing Today has provided traditional Usui Reiki classes and
attunements to hundreds of students since 1999. Reiki is a natural
healing modality and very easy to learn.

We will present Traditional Usui Reiki classes on October 13, 2012 in
Charlotte, near university area. Directions will be sent with
registration confirmation.

The classes are all inclusive. At the end of the class you will leave
with your certificate. The fees include handout, attunement, and
certificate. The level 1 class ($75) will be from 10am-3pm and the
level 2 class ($85) will be from 3pm-6pm.

There will also be a level 3 (Reiki Master) class on Sunday

The classes will be taught by Kevin Harris, Reiki Master. The classes
are always fun, informative and include lots of hands-on experience.

Don't think there is one.

Traditional Usui reiki is much like scientology in that you have to pay big bucks for an attunement for each of the three levels. Most practitioners in the US can trace their generations (how far removed attunement wise from the founder) to one of his female practitioners who believed healing should be free. There is a great deal of contention among the two camps, much as with Scientology and the Free-zone.

Usui purists contend that there must be an exchange for the ability, a kind of cosmic balance. Master attunements can cost tens of thousands from a high generation master. Those who contend that it is a gift and should be free believe the price is paid at attunement. The person attuned sometimes becomes ill following the ceremony, but they are always forced to confront their inner demons and areas of stagnation in their life. They then complete payment for their "gift" by healing others, free of charge.

Since reiki isn't a destructive cult, just an expensive new age "therapy", I'm guessing most of the people here probably don't even know what it is. :P

Exactly how is giving basic information explaining a very small similarity between Reiki and Scientology (and expressing doubt that many around here know what Reiki is) "trolling"?

Stow the butthurt, little man. I'm not buying your act.
