Whose care he was in probably isn't the point. The fact that he wasn't
taking anti-seizure medication might be more important.

I wonder how CO$ and Preston feel about Travolta telling the truth
about Jett's condition after all the denials about autism and the
claims of that rare weird disease.

movement sensor, if he went to the bathroom at night, an alarm would
go off to wake the nanny.
It would be VERY interesting to know, the dynamic between what they
were being told to do for Jett by Scientology and what the doctor
recommended. Was Scientology telling them that autism is just a state
of mind that could be corrected with LRH tech.
Still not getting why these two guys thought this form was worth 25
million?

Possibly because they thought Travolta had some ulterior motive to
spirit the body out of the Bahamas before the real cause of death was
determined -- like the Scieno handlers taking Lisa McPherson to a
distant hospital where a Scientologist worked. They had enough time to
check out whatever information was available on the Internet.
Or maybe just because they were naive as well as greedy.

I think the rule is "as silent as possible," with the main emphasis
on words. Some background noise probably wouldn't be considered
especially harmful, since it has no meaningful content.

I suppose if someone got over-zealous that could happen. But I don't
think it would necessarily preclude normal vigilance on the part of

The big deal is that the Travoltas long claimed that Jett's problem
was Kawasaki's Disease, caused by carpet cleaning fluids. Also,
because Scientology, in its infinite wisdom, heavily discourages
anything that even hints at being a "Psych" drug, it's been speculated
that JT's Scio handlers were in his ear about any real medical
treatment for Jett. Thus, his constant seizures, and his eventual and
totally avoidable death.
It is hoped that Jett's tragic death. and JT's admission of Jett's
autism. might be the wakeup call that JT needs to finally pull the
blinders off and really see Scientology for what it is, a silver
lining on an exceedingly dark cloud.
We're all keeping our fingers crossed that this is so. I'm sure that
you, as a good Christian, are praying for him to do so as well.

autism. He had a seizure (stroke?). Anybody can have a seizure. Autism may
or may not have had anything to do with it. If you and others would bother
studying the symptoms of autism you would find that seizures are not
significantly associated with it.
Now, that I've straightened you out on that, consider this: What are the
chances that Travolta consulted with Church attorneys and they all decided
the course of action he has embarked upon is the best course of action for
all concerned?

I really wonder at what point they admitted to themselves that autism is
something real, and not just an invention of the evil, lobotomizing,

I'm suddenly getting a hunch here, which I'm posting for the purposes of
discussion without having had much time to think about it. When I first
started following Scientology online in 1996, of their two main Hollywood
posterboys, Travolta was the vocal one who still occasionally mentioned
Scientology, and Cruise remained completely silent on the topic (that was
back when Cruise was still under the whip of Pat Kingsley). The only
significant change I've seen in the Scientology celebrity scene since then
is that Travolta went completely silent on the subject of Scientology in
public, as far as I can tell, and Cruise suddenly started trumpeting it all
over the place (or all over the sofa, if you wish). Could this change
possibly be related to Travolta's experiences with Jett? Jett's age seems
to match, if I've got my approximate dates right.

This was around the same time Travolta went to Washington to influence
Bill Clinton. Cruise, Travolta and Chick Corea are mentioned in the
body test as people who were boycotted, obviously with their
permission. It was signed by a bunch of people who should have known
better, including Tom's attorney Bert Fields. Pat Kingsley probably
had a cow about it.
The reason for Tommy's sudden emergence as chief spokesfool is no
secret: He was manipulated into firing Kingsley and replacing her with
his Scieno sister. DM and his entourage put forth a big effort to get
him to hype the cult and he did, much to the detriment of his
credibility.
But if Travolta went into Doubt (the ethics condition) about Jett's
condition and shut up, his wife Kelly did not. She appeared on TV
touting the Purification Rundown and yapping nonsensically about
Kawasaki's disease caused by allergens in the carpet cleaner. That's
eerily reminiscent of Hubbard's paranoia about scents and dust
restimulating his body thetans. He forbade anyone on the ship to use
scents of any kind, had his shirts rinsed thirteen times, and spent a
fortune trying to "clean up" the ranch house in Hemet while he lived
next door in a bus-sized motor home (caravan to you), presumably with
the air conditioner blowing through HEPA filters.
It's just speculation, but it appears likely to me that Kelly is the
stalwart True Believer Scieno in the family, while John has become
more theetie-weetie and susceptible to worldly influences. He surely
wishes he had listened to his brother Joey, who works with autistic
kids and told him that's what it was.
