A Scientologist testified in a $30 million lawsuit Tuesday...

LOS ANGELES -- A Scientologist testified in a $30 million lawsuit
Tuesday that she was too frightened to attempt an escape from cult
deprogrammer Ted Patrick -- despite the fact she had several
opportunities during her 38 days of captivity.

'I thought he would kill me,' said Paula Dain, her voice choked with
emotion, during her second day of testimony in the federal lawsuit
against Patrick and three others.

Miss Dain, who said she renounced her allegiance to Scientology only to
convince Patrick to let her go, testified she was 'exhausted, very
frightened and quite humiliated' by the deprogramming attempt.

PORTLAND, ORE. PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) _ Hundreds of Scientologists marched
on the Capitol or rallied at a free outdoor concert as they continue
their weeklong protest of a $39 million jury verdict against their
church.

Singer Frank Stallone, brother of Sylvester Stallone of "Rocky" movie
fame, and others entertained an estimated 1,000 people at a downtown
Portland park.

Actor Jeff Pomerantz, who once played a district attorney prosecuting
Joan Collins on ABC-TV's "Dynasty," announced in the middle of the
concert that a new church had just opened its doors in Washington, D.C.

Narconon appeals to high court

Earlier this month, District Judge Neal Beekman in Kay County ordered
the center to shut down until it gets a state license.

The center's lawyers appealed Beekman's order to the state Supreme
Court on Thursday.

If the state high court refuses to consider the appeal and issue an
emergency stay, Narconon Chilocco probably will go to the U.S. Supreme
Court, said Gary Smith, the center's president.

Another OT VIII Has Seen The Truth Revealed

This is the story of how Halina Cirillo fell in and out of love with
the Church of Scientology.

A bit of background about myself. I was in Scientology for 40 years, on
staff in Toronto through most of the 70s. My original post was Director
of Processing which I held for 3 years and was then recruited into the
Guardian's Office and held the post of DG PR CAN. As D of P I had 18
auditors in the HGC and our well done auditing hours at that time have
never been matched since. I left the GO in disgust in the late 70s
after being shown confidential session data about my brother. Then I
became a public Scientologist, very active in the Church. I am OT VIII,
mid St Hill Special Briefing Course and am IAS "Patron with Honours." I
have been successful enough in my business career to have been able to
donate in excess of half a million dollars between the Bridge and other
Scientology campaigns.

I resigned from the Church of Scientology on June 1, 2011 while I was
still in good standing.

In March, we brought you excerpts from this year's big LRH Birthday
Event held in Clearwater, Florida. We'd been sent a copy of the
three-hour presentation, and pulled out what we felt were the best
portions to share with you.

In the time since, we're kind of surprised that a full version of the
video hasn't leaked to the Internet by now. So we thought we'd break
off a couple more segments for your enjoyment.

In particular, we enjoyed the short films that Golden Era Productions
made that bring old Hubbard lectures to life.

As a simple guide to better living, The Way to Happiness booklet
follows basically understood moral codes that can be easily agreed upon
by many people. There have been plenty of write-ups done by others
exposing the flaws in the costing to produce and print but we had to
ask, how many people are actually getting them? Is the world becoming a
better place in the areas that have had distribution?

Meet Dennis Nobbe, Miami Chiropractor and Scientologist!
May 22, 2013, Tony Ortega, Underground Bunker
http://tonyortega.org/2013/05/22/meet-dennis-nobbe-miami-chiropractor-and-scientologist/

We spoke yesterday with Beatriz Biscardi, the EEOC attorney who filed a
lawsuit on May 8 against Dynamic Medical Services, Inc., a Miami
chiropractic business run by a Scientologist named Dennis Nobbe.

On May 9, we reported that the EEOC had put out a press release
announcing that it was suing Nobbe's business for forcing his employees
to take Scientology courses that had them "screaming at ashtrays or
staring at someone for eight hours without moving."

As press releases put out by federal agencies go, it was a weird one.
Within the week, the story had been picked up by major news
organizations, each of them imparting little more than what was known
from the press release or the legal complaint.

The "Flag WUS Team 10,000" are SOOO incompetent at getting anyone to

pitch from Pat Parodi "to use" to "close people" to come to the event?

Here you will discover that GAG II has "blown the doors to OT off their

Live and Let Die
May 22, 2014, Chris Shelton, Critical Thinker at Large
http://mncriticalthinking.com/2014/05/22/live-and-let-die/

Why Criticize Scientology?

When I was a part of the Church of Scientology and in the Sea Org, I
always used to wonder about people who attacked Scientology. I wondered
what motivated them; why did they seem so passionate about what they
were doing. Why couldn't they just leave well enough alone? Wasn't it
enough that they didn't like it and left? Couldn't they just leave us
Scientologists alone to practice our religion in peace? Why did they
have to spend so much time and effort going out of their way to write
blog articles, be interviewed by the press, write books and even make
whole movies about how bad the Scientology experience was? In other
words, couldn't they just live and let live?

We had lots of explanations fed to us about Church attackers in the
Church, mainly out of the mouths of personnel from the Office of
Special Affairs, (OSA), the Church's legal arm. In 2008, they carefully
explained how Anonymous, for example, were a bunch of no-good hackers
and bored teenagers who didn't have anything better to do. We were told
that between bouts of masturbating to internet child porn in their
basements and doing drugs, they were being funded by some mysterious
ringleader who organized their efforts in each org area and paid them
with pizza and $10-20 an hour to go dance around in front of the orgs
with signs reading "Ask me about Xenu" and "Scientology is a trap". We
were told that these mysterious ringleaders were being paid lots of
money by Big Pharma to do away with Scientology because we (the Sea
Org) were so effectively cutting into the profits from psychiatric
drugging of children, profits which run into the billions of dollars
per year. It's ironic now, knowing how much money the Church is hording
in its off-shore IAS bank accounts, how condemnatory they always were
towards psychiatry and Big Pharma's "billions in blood money." I've
never seen a better example of the pot calling the kettle black.

Meanwhile, the lawsuit filed Wednesday by the National Association of

Muskogee names Narconon International, the Church of Scientology
International and 80 other Narconon-related defendants.

The suit states NAFC is seeking an immediate injunction to prevent the
unauthorized use of NAFC certifications, trademarks and logos along
with compensatory, statutory and punitive damages, plus attorneys' fees.

The suit alleges more than "400 Narconon associated websites contained
the purported certifications of staff members that, in reality, have
had certifications that have been suspended, revoked or never existed."

Yes, our tipsters are amazing, and we are grateful that they take the
chances necessary to bring us this amazing material.

We have, in the past, marveled at amazing examples of Scientology hip
hop - we have never really fallen out of love with the Copenhagen
miracle, but we will forever bemoan losing the awesome Melbourne Day

huge fans of Scientology in-house rapper Chill EB (pictured), and we

Massive downtown parking garage? How about a hotel on top?

That prospect, raised by former Mayor Frank Hibbard among others, has
spooked the Church of Scientology, which owns land the city wants for a
garage to hold the cars of hundreds of thousands of visitors to a

UK -- Not Thinking Big
May 22, 2014, Mike Rinder, Something Can Be Done About It
http://www.mikerindersblog.org/uk-thinking-big/

Date: Fri, 09 May 2014

From: Claire Chisholm <birmi...@scientology.net> Subject: Just
so you know. Dear Xxxxx, I am writing to let you know about a very
exciting game that it being played across the UK. The game is to have a
combined total, between all UK orgs, of 1000 public on either their
Purification Rundown or Survival Rundown by the 6th of June.
Birmingham's share of that quota? 100 of our public on their
Purification Rundown or Survival Rundown! This is an amazing game and
one that everyone can play and win. It will bring about expansion on
all dynamics. Just imagine our Org with 100 people actively moving
through these amazing services, getting the wins and gains that LRH
intended and which have never before been fully available. The
Purification Rundown is now completely standard - from the cleaning and
the vitamins, to the delivery. The gains being experienced by those
going through it are literally life changing. The Survival Rundown is
completely tailored for you. It allows you to objectively handle all
those things that you run into that prevent you from doing as well as
you could. It isn't called the Survival Rundown for nothing: it allows
you to do exactly that! The energy and buzz that is being created in
our Org from this game is fantastic and I really want you to be a part
of it. If you haven't seen the Golden Age of Tech Phase II events you
must come in and see them. You will be blown away! If you don't know
what your next step is on the Bridge, come in and see me about it. I
will help you to find out and to get going on it. The Bridge is now so
easy to travel. Attaining Clear and OT is so real. It is just a case of
getting started. I am here to help and I look forward to seeing you in
the Org very soon. Much love, Claire Chisholm

You can be certain this is a "target" that is totally unreal to these
people, but it is as big as they could possibly think and not have
their heads explode.

Casey Kasem's wife won't face elder abuse charges, district attorney says
May 22, 2015, Richard Winton, Los Angeles Times
http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-kasems-wife-with-abuse-20150522-story.html

From December of 2013 to May of last year, Kasem was in the Berkeley
East Convalescent Hospital until Jean Kasem removed him because of what
she said were privacy concerns.

Jean Kasem took him home and hired a registered nurse and a care giver,
according to the prosecutor's memo. On May 7, Kasem's daughter Kerri
sought temporary conservatorship of her father. But Jean Kasem on May
10 drove him with a nurse to Las Vegas in a two-SUV convoy.

The registered nurse left Las Vegas but noticed a bedsore Kasem had
gotten at the hospital had ruptured. On May 11, Jean Kasem along with
medical professionals used an air ambulance to move her husband to
Silverdale, Wash., according to the memo.

DOX: How Scientology ensnares the unsuspecting in a series of binding
contracts
May 22, 2015, Tony Ortega, Underground Bunker
http://tonyortega.org/2015/05/22/dox-how-scientology-ensnares-the-unsespecting-in-a-series-of-binding-contracts/

We're getting ready for tonight's big extravaganza in San Francisco. In
the meantime, Jeffrey Augustine sent us another great piece that he
cooked up from the work he's doing over at his own site, the
ScientologyMoneyProject. Take it away, Jeff...

How do good people get trapped in something like Scientology? One way
is through the series of unconscionable legal contracts the Church of
Scientology uses to strip its members of their civil and legal rights.
As revealed in its own documents, Scientology is designed to ensnare
its members legally, and as soon as practically possible. Contracts are
the legal backbone of the "Prison of Belief."

The public doesn't know about this malicious series of Scientology
contracts. New Scientologists are never informed, advised, or counseled
in advance about the potential adverse legal consequences they could
face as a result of signing these contracts. These contracts are
one-sided and give the Church all of the power while taking away power
from individual members.

(VIDEO) Critical Q&A #58

The weekly show where I answer your questions based on comments left on
my Q&A videos or emailed to me at AskChri...@gmail.com. The
questions I answer this week are:

(1) Interestingly enough, there are still things about Scientology that
are not so clear or I am completely in the dark about. For example
"Sunday Services". What do they do when they pretend to be a church on
Sunday?

(2) In 1997 after my second divorce, I was kind of down and someone
suggested to me to read the book Dianetics and I just kind a looked at
him and I think I kind of shook my head no. I mean, this was a long
time ago. I never read the book, I wasn't going to. Why are there
people like me that can just say no? I remember in the 80s seeing all
those commercials on television and I just watched them and said, "Oh
well."

A New Civilization Built of Empty Buildings

Really? This is the best they have?

OT Ambassadors from "61 org fields" did not even fill the ballroom of
the Ft Harrison.

61 org fields is more than half all the orgs on earth. And this is THE
big deal in scientology, more important than anything else with more
time and effort and force devoted to it than any program in the history
of scientology. I would estimate there are about 125 people in this
photo - they either didn't have 250 people there or they couldn't
persuade them to be in a photoshoot. More likely the former as they
routinely exaggerate everything even when there is a photo accompanying
the falsehood. And let's not forget this is the "biggest OT Committee
on earth"at Flag and they claim to have 100 plus members themselves.

Scientology makes you a god who can heal this horse just with your finger
May 22, 2016, Tony Ortega, Underground Bunker
http://tonyortega.org/2016/05/22/scientology-makes-you-a-god-who-can-heal-this-horse-just-with-your-finger/

It's time again for Rod Keller's Scientology Social Media Review. He's
made a specialty of hunting down the odd and wonderful things
Scientologists post to the 'net. He's a chronicler who piece by piece
builds a highly detailed assessment of what Scientology is doing around
the world, and this is what he found for us this week?

Scientology Volunteer Ministers held a training session at the Living
Trail equestrian center in Volgograd, Russia this week. The center
works with disabled children, using contact with horses and horse
riding in physical and emotional therapy. They host children with
cerebral palsy, arthritis, scoliosis, blindness, autism and other
disorders and provide training in riding and caring for horses. The
Scientologists trained the staff in performing Touch Assists and Nerve
Assists, demonstrating these procedures on the human staff and the
horses. The procedure is intended to relieve pain and to heal a wide
variety of diseases and disorders. The patient is touched with a finger
and asked "can you feel my finger?" If they are a human being and say
"yes," then the response is "thank you."

This week Scientologist Kostyantyn Malomuzh provided Scientology's
"study tech" classes in Mongolia, as he has for the past several months.
It is a task he feels is easier because of the lack of Psychiatrists
in that country.

Deadline Earth

There are two the things needed to keep the believers believing -
convincing them it's an "us against them" world and that there is
urgency to the good fight - "the end of the world is nigh."

This is pretty common in any fundamentalist organization. LRH was no
exception.

This is one of his ramblings from 1965. He published it in The Auditor.
It was meant for all scientologists to read.

Well, here we go again. You've heard from us in the past that since the
Church of Scientology announced that it was such chummy partners with
Google, we've had numerous stories here at the Underground Bunker
de-indexed by the search engine giant.

And for you know-it-alls who send us technical babble about this stuff,
yes these stories were previously searchable on Google, and no their
removal was not always noted at the Lumen (formerly Chilling Effects)
database.

All we know is, Google has tried to make several of our stories
disappear, sometimes without the slightest indication to us why it was
doing so. For example, the richest Scientologist in the world, Bob
Duggan, managed to convince Google to remove our story about him and
the unholy deal he made about his kids and the South African orgs. Go
ahead, use any search terms you want and you won't find this exact URL
through a Google search, only social media about it. Duggan pulled that
off by complaining about the art we used in the story, but it's still
de-indexed even after we replaced all the art with illustrations by our
friend Chad Essley.
