Dr. Marcy Driscoll, dean of FSU's school of education, has called for the immediate termination of Monica Pignotti.

"Dr. Pignotti demeaned the Ed.D. degree offered at our school, knowing nothing about it" said Driscoll in a prepared statement.

Pignotti made this statement on an Internet discussion board of the Church of Scientology. Pignott participates in heated discussions there, and is part of a coterie consisting of bomb threat maker Rob Clark, copyright infringer Eldon Braun, and failed cinematographer Patricia Greenway.

More lies. No one has called for my termination and no such statement
was made by Dr. Driscoll. Free speech prevails. I did not express any
opinions whatsoever about FSU's EdD program in particular although
even if I had, there is academic freedom, since FSU is not a cult that
quashes anyone who criticizes their programs, even though I made no
criticism of FSU. I made a general comment about the EdD degree, as
have some of the professors I have taken classes with, which I am free
to do because at FSU there is academic freedom and someone would not
be removed for expressing such an opinion. The EdD is regarded as one
of the less scientifically rigorous, easier degrees to get than the
PhD and I stand by that opinion. You had better stop quoting FSU
faculty on statements they never made or you might find outself outed
and in serious legal trouble. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure
that FSU even offers the EdD. I know that they do offer a PhD in
Education which is a very scientifically rigorous program with
demanding statistically classes (I know because I took 6 of them and
have their stats certificate) and not the same degree at all as the
EdD.

FSU.

Again, all you show is your own ignorance about the difference between
the PhD degree in Education and the EdD, not offered at FSU. They
offer masters level degrees in school psychology, MS/Ed.S, but their
doctoral level degrees are all PhDs, not EdD.

Also, Rob Clark has attacked me and has recently opined that he thinks
I am a kook (which I find hilarious, given his own history), so again,
your attempt to associate my name with his is ridiculous, as he

A relative's alma mater no longer offers the specific degree she
graduated with. Doesn't mean she didn't get it.

Just because they don't offer the program now doesn't mean they didn't
in the past. Sure, with an Ed.D., it's probable they wouldn't drop
that particular program, just thought I'd make the point that not
offering one now doesn't necessarily make one a liar.

I'd tell her "practice what you preach" and that darn bad karma might

I have not lied about others. You are the one who is lying about me,
Dennis so your mystical blabbering about "karma" does not apply. Good
to see you found another way to say it other than the Scientology
terminology of "pulling it in" in the past. Maybe you are beginning to
recover, although you still hold onto the ideas that when people are
abused, they somehow brought it on themselves. So good progress in
your recovery, Dennis, but you still have a ways go go, it would seem.

Sure, they could have offered it in the past, but the current claim
being made is about how allegedly the current Dean of the College of
Education is calling for my dismissal because I allegedly dissed FSU's
EdD program (which I did not -- I only made a very general statement
that I would not personally want to brag about an EdD so there would
be no motive for me to lie about having one). There are lies about me
on so many levels, I'm sure it is complicated for someone just coming
into all this. My point is that there is no current EdD program to
diss.

Let me see. She and her cohort Catherine Mann have publicly accused
me of being hateful, being on the cult's payroll, being under gag
order, and perpetrating a fraud with my ministry and a bunch of other
shit I won't bore you with since clearly you couldn't care less who

Meantime Pignotti extols others not to jump to unwarranted conclusions

Fuck you very much, ef.

I haven't slandered her, commented on her finances, her religion or

Considering the fact that I think she's a lying POS, if you feel I am

Let me take this opportunity to sign on with them, adding that the
pseudo-reverend seems to have turned into a profane ne'er-do-well most
likely from excruciating feelings of guilt for betraying those who
trusted him to keep his online pledges of paying them back for donations
to his defense, then secretly settling, taking the cult's money and
running to live in the luxury of Palms Springs.

If you think you need to, no one can stop you. But do you really
think anything you or anybody else writes in rebuttal is going to
change the opinions of people like Mary, Tom K and their
intellectual equals, for lack of a better description?

Do you think anyone outside of that distinguished group finds

If you do, I think you underestimate yourself.

As usual, just my opinion.

Although you are invoking the fallacy of argument from authority/
majority, I wouldn't be so sure of that, John. So, since you are
attempting to argue from authority/majority, I will respond in kind.
Dr. Cathleen Mann obviously agrees with me about Dennis Erlich, as her
posted message proves. Steve Hassan apologized to me for Dennis'
behavior, but I guess they don't count because they are only credible
professional people, not the ARSCC, individuals who for the most part
have little credibility elsewhere. Dennis, on the other hand, has
little if any credibility. His whole life has been about Scientology,
which is why he never bothered to change that 1969 minister
registration.

Aaron said something on his recent tape that really made a whole lot
of sense. He was noting how the SO takes advantage of various
personalities, one being the person who already was a bully. Not
everyone in the SO fits this -- Aaron also notes that some were people
who were themselves picked on or had other things going on, but this
profile does fit certain SO members. Those sorts of people who are
excellent fits for SO goon positions and Dennis certainly fit right in
with the bully type. While some people in the SO who were bullies are
nice people when they get out, not so with Dennis Erlich. He continues
to be a bully, 25+ years later because he was a natural fit for the
SO, in or out.

Poor Dennis. His "reality checking" is ARS. My reality checking is
reputable professional individuals in the real world such as Dr.
Cathleen Mann who see the same things in Dennis Erlich that I do.

For those who missed it:

http://groups.google.com/group/alt.religion.scientology/browse_frm/thread/bcb390e18830b2ca/74ce3e7eb7db2780?lnk=gst&q=Cathleen+Mann#74ce3e7eb7db2780

Dr. Mann's statement:
Dennis's behavior on the FOM list, at the behest and encouragement of
Steve Hassan, was one of the last straws that prompted me, the real
owner of the listserv, to delete the whole listserv, which I did in
January, 2009. Steve Hassan liked to claim it was "his" list, but in
reality he did nothing to contribute to the list other than
occasionally use it as an advertising venue or to appropriate posts
without permission. I no longer associate with or support Steve
Hassan, and this is one of the many reasons. He asked Dennis to come
on the list specifically to attack Monica, and Steve was a coward in
not representing himself. Dennis was the perfect bulldog --
attacking, ad hominen all the time, arrogant, and very vulgar and
sexist. I was glad to be rid of him. I am sorry Steve Hassan has
such a person as a friend, which shows me he has very poor judgment in
this area. Monica attempted to defend herself and Dennis was the
epitome of an angry, hateful person. I am so glad I don't have to
deal with him or Steve Hassan ever again.

Cathleen Mann

Or do you also want to call Dr. Mann a raving kook?

Nasty ravings about the FOM list? Dennis obviously does care and
cannot seem to let go of the matter. Need I remind you that it was
Dennis that has repeatedly raised this topic, not I and now he follows
me around on threads where I am being attacked by proponents of bogus
therapies that I debunk, and attacks me further, saying I pulled it
in, had bad karma, and so forth and so on. How low is that? But of
course that is a hallmark of an abusive personality, to believe that
when someone has something bad happen to them, they did something to
deserve it.

Dennis, of course, seems to have lost his courage to make any kind of
meaningful contribution as an activist, since his settlement with
Scientology which I understand was quite lucrative and bought him a
house that I doubt he could have earned himself, so he seems to have
nothing better to do than attack those of us who are current activists
against bogus, abusive practices. Note that I'm not saying he agrees
with him, but his hopping onto threads where I am being attacked and
further attacking me is very low and abusive behavior on his part and
he has done this several times within the past few weeks.

I would have been very happy to let it go and had no intention of
posting here about it until Dennis raised the issue. When he raises
the issue and lies about the situation, saying I made threats to
Cathleen Mann, I have every right to refute that, which I have done
with Dr. Mann's own words. I suppose "sensible" is in the eyes of the
beholder. It's all a matter of opinion that readers can take for what
it's worth. Since for Dennis, a "reality check" is ARS, I'm sure he'll
take great comfort in your support even though others such as Cathleen
Mann and Steve Hassan, who can hardly be dismissed as kooks, see his
behavior as I do. But hey, Dennis has every right to hide his head in
the sand and not look at how his behavior is viewed by people outside
of ARS who are not so enamored with him, to say the least. Since Steve
Hassan and I made no agreement to keep our negotiation session
confidential, I can disclose that he told me that when he invited
Dennis onto the FOM list serv, he had no idea he would behave so badly
and he apologized me for that and conceded he had made a mistake in
having Dennis on the list.

Dennis was concerned that someone outside the core group of village
idiots might mistake your unsupported opinions and unsubstantiated
statements as fact. That has not happened, nor is it likely to. I
am sure Dennis will now "let this go", just as he said he would.

Need I remind you that it was

Of course your suggestion that Dennis was allied with your abusive
cyberstalkers, and your nasty innuendos about his designation as a
cos minister, and your oft-repeated but unsupported claims that he
was abusive on the FOM list, and your unsupported claim that his
ministry is somehow less than genuine, of course none of this
influenced Dennis's conduct in any way.

Unsubstantiated claims and conclusions therefrom.

so he seems to have
> nothing better to do than attack those of us who are current activists

> with him, but his hopping onto threads where I am being attacked and

It's not about you, Monica. Those of us who sprang to your defense
when your cyberstalkers discovered ars did so because the conduct of
your cyberstalkers was and remains reprehensible in many, many ways.
Their defence of abusive pseudoscience is reprehensible. Their
attempts to prevent people like you from expressing reasoned
criticism is reprehensible. Their abuse of children is
reprehensible. Their exploitation of desperate families is
reprehensible. Their anonymous smear campaign is reprehensible.

I can't speak for others, but I admire and respect the stand you
have taken against the AT crowd, and I will continue to support that
stand.

On the other hand, when you choose to engage in pettiness and
sophistry, I may choose to express my opinions about that as well.
