Thats great David. Where the hell was this person when Lisa
McPherson was staying at the Fort Harrison?
He also made fun of the people involved in the Mars Probe
Expedition. He makes a comment about their discovery of
the possibility that life once existed on Mars. No big deal.
$cientologists knew this all along.
That is not a quote, but it is the jist of it. If I was involved
in the Mars project I think I would be a bit upset at being
made fun of the way he did it.
DM. If bullshit was "gold" you would be Fort Knox.
Should have this program broadcast to the general public
on a National Network. "Normal" people would really get
to see what a nut case DM is.
Mmm. Not a bad idea.

John, of course it would be a good idea to find some way to get this to the
general public, and even the very specialized public here.
Real Audio or Video were great, but even a transcript would be good.

listening to real loons)

I mentioned to a criminal lawyer friend of mine that Narconon was a

How do you define success?
Several years ago I worked for a small family-owned business in Woodland
Hills, CA. The owner was a Scientologist, his daughter was an addict.
For the sake of their privacy, let's call them Nate and Nicole.
Nicole was into coke and pot, she also drank heavily -- possibly diagnosable
as an alcoholic.
Nate put her through Narconon twice. Nicole related the experience to me
this way:
"They feed you brown rice and vitamins, and make you take saunas. Once you
get your shit together (I'm assuming thetans, engrams, etc.), the addiction
goes away and then you can drink and shit like normal."
She believed that she could suffer no damage from drugs following Narconon,
and proceeded to escalte her use after each trip there.
Was this "success"? Well, as I recall, Nate said that Narconon got about
$30,000 of his money between the two trips. Maybe this is the success 'gert
is referring to...

William, as a Swede I will of course investigate if this is true, and if
It will be relevant to know if this is true or not. If it is true then
the Swedish citizens have a right to know.
If it is not true, it should be pointed out, just as the Co$ "Big

Norweigian Minister of Defense was recommending "The Way To Happiness"
(TWTH) and it turned out to be a complete fabrication. It was brought
to the attention of the Minister and the rest is journalistic history
in Norway.
The complete story of this farce can be seen at the following website:

article and he asked me to fax it to him. I immediately faxed the front
page of the newspaper, the actual article and I threw in a copy of the

Within short time he called me back, he had already talked to Jorgen

Well, now, if the Church of Scientology[tm] would only provide us with
some credible evidence that Narconon works, we might be a bit more
charitable towards it. Regrettably, they never have. Even more
regrettably, one of the key components of the Narconon treatment, the
Purification Rundown, not only doesn't work, it's potentially harmful to
those who undergo it.
Now, given the above, why shouldn't I challenge it?

Actually, I agree with you that everyone should read that web site.
They should also understand that this information was gathered by an
organization that calls itself a religion, and that this site is
sanctioned by this organization. Then they should ask themselves what
kind of religion engages in such activities....

I just yesterday got a hold of a copy of this tape. It's a
scary combination of a Nurenberg Rally, a glitzy Las Vegas
floor show, and what I imagine an Amway Convention to be like.
It's impossible for me to watch more than about 30 minutes of
this tape at a time -- any more, and you overdose on the

Yeah, do that. I'm curious if they'll let you stay there as you
start laughing out loud at the sheer absurdity and nonstop Las Vegas
glitz of this tape. I especially liked the part about Merchants
of Chaos, accompanied by a video of a reporter's head blowing up.
The "Body Reads" tape was also hilarious (or was that "Body Raisins"?)
Someone needs to get a copy of this tape to the Mystery Science 3000 folk.
>I don't understand how the Shrine Auditorium audience was able

Don't let the "full" aspect of the Shrine give you the wrong impression. Even
we ex-Scienos like to socialize with the old friends once in awhile, and what
better night of the year for socializing than New Years Eve? It also gives one
a chance to catch up on what the Church has been doing all year -- that is if
you aren't privy to the Internet. :)
The other thing to bear in mind is that a lot of Scienos don't have your
typical active social life, and it's the one night of the year that they can
justify doing it. But those who are on a course, and have to show up on New
Years Day, won't be drinking; else they'll be sent to ethics immediately after
roll call.

An astute observation and correct (!) comment from Newman that the
hall looked and was *full*. Scientology *is* expanding.

Hate to burst your bubble, but hasn't CoS been using the Shrine Auditorium for
something like 40 years? That's stasis, not growth. And I suspect that if
someone carefully studied attendance at this and other events, the result would
show fewer attendees from a shrunken member base in central LA, and more from
outlying areas where they used to go to orgs and missions that are now dead or
moribund.
It does explain something that if wgert is in CoS' southern california
stronghold that the breadth of problems are not obvious; the faithful in Havana
and Pyongyang probably think communism is expanding, too.

Indeed stasis *is* the word to describe the Toronto Org.
Here in Toronto less than 250 people but more than 200 have
attended the last three major events:
47 Anniversary of Dianetics = 250
Auditors Day =246
New Years Event = 210 (No children under twelve.)
And this is drawing from a population in excess of 6 million
within a 4 hour drive of the new Toronto Super City.
Yeah, Scientology is expanding. <snort>

Hitler, when he was out stumping for the National Socialism Party in
Germany, would always book the smallest halls for their rallies. It
gave a feel ``everyone" was a Nazi.
Anyone know if they have more than one hall at the Shrine Auditorium?
Say one that holds a couple thousand people, one that holds maybe 900,
& so forth?
At one of the Hollywood award ceremonies (the Oscars?) they actually
hire stand-ins to take the seats that are empty, even if the guest has
gotten up to go to the bathroom or is otherwise gone for a couple of
minutes. The promoters know they have to make this look like a Big
Event.
Camera angles also help create that impression the director is looking

>Screaming around "lie, lie".
Don't bother. It's pure Q+A. LRH is teaching us that things
resolve when everybody is cleaning up his own stuff.
This is true for auditing, and this is true for ethics.
So I would suggest that Scientologists like wg...@loop.com
(wgert) concentrate on washing the SHIT out of their church,
instead of attacking others.
The trouble is self-made, friends. Re-read Hubbard's data
about HOW TO CREATE ANTAGONISM. Then "Look around and find
an example how the church actively creates antagonism per
Hubbard's description"! I bet you find a little more than one.
Other things you can do to get your immediate environment
a little cleaner are:
1.) Find the church's current tone-level on Hubbard's
"Chart of Human Evaluation" and decide for yourself
whether they are working in a pro-survival or
contra-survival way: http://www.cso.net/mt/eval.htm
2.) Ask the church management why they are habitually breaking
Hubbard's policy in such a flagrant way:
http://www.cso.net/mt/question.htm
3.) Use the Ethics-Conditions without the enforced
interpretation of an ethics officer or other HCO-terminal.
a.) You will find that Hubbard himself (!) tells you
to ignore the church in dangerous situations:
http://www.cso.net/mt/danger.htm -
b.) - or even to leave it and change into the
FreeZone: http://www.cso.net/mt/doubt.htm
4. Actively use the Tech in all areas of your life:
The original purpose of Scientology-Tech was - and is -
to convert the negative energy ("entheta") in a person's
case into positive energy ("theta") which would manifest
in a rising mood and growing capability to master life.
This simple principle is still valid. These days it has
become very complicated, if not impossible, to make use
of the tech in they way it was meant: There is the church's
money-aberration, their flagrant misapplication and
misrepresentation in many areas, and on the other side the
stigma of society which makes it less and less possible
to be a Scientologist.
Now here you have the tech again, but in a form which is
designed for self-help and co-processing at home. You don't
need a course, and you don't have to go into a Scientolog Org
where you could be seen and identified. It is the new
"Self Clearing Book" written by "The Pilot", one of the
really active competent Scientologists who want to see
their church reformed.
This manual will not only train you "on the job", it also
includes a lot of important processes which have been dropped
by the church - the definite OT-drills which increased the
spiritual abilities in such a phantastic way in the early 50's.
Don't fear any copyright trouble; the author has allowed
the free distribution of his work!

If Co$ were really expanding, they'd be able to rent out the LA Coliseum.
And let's not forget that those events in LA and Clearwater aren't filled up by

Let me use your remark to repeat a brief story I related once before.
It was during my first trip to Hamburg, a few years ago. I had gone at the
request of the government to meet with various officials. One of them was
the head of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, and his
aide. We met for a couple of hours and at the end of it he asked if I
happened to have a photo of DM. I knew there were photos in the IAS mags
so I pulled out one and opened it to a large IAS rally. It had one of
those pull-out pages so there was a three page photo spread of the rally.
The photo was taken from the top of the auditorium, looking down onthe
stage so one could see the flags, banners, searchlights and this stage
with a tiny podium and a small figure at it but these massive photos of
LRH on each side. I started to turn the page and he put his hand down and
stopped me and looked at it and then turned to his aide and said,
"Nurenburg." The aide nodded. I looked back at the picture and a chill ran
through me realizing how they were viewing this cult.
As he said later, "Never again."

Still attempting to piggy-back on Auschwitz? You know, scientology
