the amount of money you extract from the members of your church

it is clear to everyone that not only has our pulse merged with that of your church, it is now surpassing it.

This is true. Please keep in mind that L Ron Hubbard fucked things up
starting in the mid-1960s. (He was pretty loony before then, but that
was when he really flipped out and started writing exact policies for
everything -- including how to clean a car with a turkey feather
duster, and instructions to rinse his shirts 13 times.)
It was all downhill from there for another 20 years until his death in
1986. So if he said that fiberglass was bad for the lungs, but didn't
mention asbestos, So they took out the fiberglass and left the
asbestos when they bought the Freewinds that same year. It's been
there for another 20 years due to the policy he laid down.
David Miscavige has tried to covertly sanitize a few of the crazier
things Hubbard laid down as ironclad policy, but he can only go so far
in altering Source. Maybe that's part of the reason he's so pissed off
and frustrated.
