Ache! This is all very excellent and unfortunately too necessary. I would
like to add that if someone DOES rope, tie and brand you with collares,
you are NOT obligated to make the Saint with that person. Receiving
Collares is one initiation and it is beautiful.. but if after one has
received collares, if he/she discovers that he/she is NOT in the right
Ile, then he CAN get out - either cleanly (I asked my first Madrina's
blessing in a way that made it easy for her to give it) or just OUT -
depending on the severity of the situatiion. Still, the investment in time
that Not-So-Loko recommends is the best way to avoid situations to start
with.
