Australian Prime Minister comments on Mormon "cults" Temples

PRIME MINISTER OF AUSTRALIA.
It Gives me great pleasure to provide a message for the occasion of the
dedication of the Brisbane Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of
latter-day saints.
The Brisbane Temple is both a fine addition to Brisbane's landscape and to
the community.
Like the other Temples in Australia, it stands as a visible symbol of the
strength of the Church.
The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints has made a significant
contribution to the well-being
of the Australian community.
The Church places great emphasis on the importance of the strong families
which are the backbone of our society, and building family relationships.
Through the range of spiritual and support activities undertaken by members
of the Church, it has demonstrated the value of a community that works
together to promote the welfare of its own members and also reaches out to
others.
I send my best wishes to the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints and all those participating in the dedication of the
Brisbane temple.
