Art Bulla
since there seems to be gross ignorance due to false teachings for many
decades by priestcrafters who attempted to cover this doctrine form the
knowledge of the Latter-Day-Saints, and I do reveal the following in
fulfillment of the following prophecy by Joseph Smith:
33 How long can rolling waters remain impure? What power shall stay the
heavens? As well might man stretch forth his puny arm to stop the Missouri
river in its decreed course, or to turn it up stream, as to hinder the
Almighty from pouring down knowledge from heaven upon the heads of the
Latter-day Saints.
34 Behold, there are many called, but few are chosen. And why are they not
chosen?
35 Because their hearts are set so much upon the things of this world, and
aspire to the honors of men, that they do not learn this one lesson-
36 That the rights of the priesthood are inseparably connected with the
powers of heaven, and that the powers of heaven cannot be controlled nor
handled only upon the principles of righteousness.
37 That they may be conferred upon us, it is true; but when we undertake to
cover our sins, or to gratify our pride, our vain ambition, or to exercise
control or dominion or compulsion upon the souls of the children of men, in
any degree of unrighteousness, behold, the heavens withdraw themselves; the
Spirit of the Lord is grieved; and when it is withdrawn, Amen to the
priesthood or the authority of that man.
38 Behold, ere he is aware, he is left unto himself, to kick against the
pricks, to persecute the saints, and to fight against God.

But I give here a portion or a preliminary to this work:
EXCOMMUNICATION AND RETAINING PRIESTHOOD
Not only did John Taylor prophesy that some of the true saints would be cast
out by their brethren but recall also the prophesy of Joseph Smith before
the Nauvoo Legion when he said that the true followers of Christ would be
cast down.
Even Christ and his disciples were excommunicated. Referring to the blind
man Jesus healed, we read, "They answered and said unto him, Thou wast
altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out." 3
The marginal note to 'Cast out' in this usage says, that in other words they
"excommunicated him." The note then refers the readerr to verse 22 which
says, "These words spake his parents, because they (eared the Jews: for the
Jews had agreed al ready, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he
should be put out of the synagogue." Furthermore, we read:
"They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that
whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service." John 15::2
"Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because
of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of
the .synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of
God.',

Remember that Priesthood may function separate from the Church.' Then
certainly, only sin can take a man's priest. hood away from him:
"That the rights of the priesthood are inseparably connected with the
powers of heaven, and that the powers of heaven cannot be controlled nor

That they may be conferred upon us, it is true; but when we undertake to
cover our sins, or to gratify our pride, our vain ambition, or to exercise

"Excommunication from the true Church of Christ is a very serious matter. It
is spiritual death to those who are fully cut off, and condemnation to those
who willfully exercise the power of excision wrongfully. ..,
Those Who are entrusted with power to excommunicate MUST act in TRUTH AND
RIGHTEOUSNESS in their official duties. They ate not authorized to cut off
any live branch or any inactive particle of the body which may be quickened
or warmed or encouraged into life. Sin and transgression or positive
discord with the system must exist before excommunication is justifiable.
'Wo unto those who are cut off the Church" and WOE UNTO THEM WHO CUT MEN OR
WOMEN OFF the Church for private pique, or to exercise undue dominion, or
for any reason not prompted by 'truth and righteousness.' All the acts of
men, official or otherwise, will be reviewed and passed upon in the great
day. Well may the caution embolded above be given to BOTH offending member
and EXECUTIVE officer. It is better to save than to destroy. Thee is more
glory in winning the erring to repentance then in severing the least thread
that holds them to the arteries of life. ...
SIN, and SIN ONLY is the cause of REAL DISFELLOWSHIP. Where that abounds in
any blanch of the Church the fruits of the gospel will NOT appear, and
therefore the work of purification must go on. but it must be conducted in
wisdom, patience, brotherly kindness and charity."

Remember again what John Taylor prophesied to the men be put under covenant
to keep Plural Marriage alive:
"Some of you will be handled and ostracized and be cast out from the Church
by your own brethren because of your faithfulness and integrity to this
principle. and some of you may have to surrender your lives because of the
same, but WOE, WOE, UNTO THOSE WHO SHALL BRING THESE
TROUBLES UPON YOU." (p.121)
Yes, SIN, and SIN ONLY can take a man's priesthood away from him. Certainly,
Christ's priesthood was not taken from him, just because the Jewish Church
excommunicated Aim. Truly be their fruits ye shall know them. Of the many
examples wherein priesthood power continued with men who were UNrighteously
cast out of the Churn, the following are typical:
"A three year old girl and her cousin were playing by her father's five bee
hives. Both of them began throwing rocks
at the bee hives, and soon one of the bees stung the older girl's arm, and
she quickly struck it with a stick she had. But she did not kill the bee,
and it made its way back into the hive. Within a few seconds, columns of
bees appeared, coming out of the hives, and joining into one solid compact
stream about 8 or 9 inches in diameter. As soon as they appeared, both
little girls began running for the house, but the three year old did not
make it. The bees completely covered the little girl where she had fallen.
Extending back to the hives, the bees looked like a solid pipe moving into
the ground. When her mother reached her, she could scarcely be seen. Her
mother quickly grabbed her and ran for the house. As the back door of the
house was closed behind them, the two windows in the kitchen and in the
backdoor, were immediately darkened with living blankets, making the day
suddenly like night. Frantically, the child's mother and aunt tried to kill
the bees, while the child, fighting and screaming, went into convulsions.
Soon her grandfather and great-grandfather arrived. The mother now began
having serious threats of a miscarriage, being seven months along. As she
now held the trembling child close to her bosom, the men administered to
the child. While the blessing proceeded, the Spirit flowed from them into
the child, like warm lifegiving oil. From the child, the Spirit continued
into the mother, passing on downward through her body, completely
dispelling any pains, while later, at the proper time, she gave birth to a
perfectly formed son. From the moment of anointing, the three year old stop.
ped crying, her convulsions ceased, and her swelling and foaming subsided.
By the time the blessing was completed, she had fallen into a deep sleep
which lasted for several hours...While the child rested, they were able :o
remove many of the stingers. From an area no larger than a quarter of a
dollar 35 stingers were removed, of the thousands pulled from her. Today, an
unbeliever in the power of thee priesthood of God could hardly acknowledge
such a thing happened at all, upon seeing this now grown woman's present
health and vitality.

The crux of the matter in presenting this testimony is this: THE MEN WHO
ADMINISTERED n this case HAD BEEN HANDLED BY THE CHURCH. But God recognize
their right to the Priesthood precisely in the manner testified. (Taken
from Keys to the Priesthood, Illus, Lynn L and Steven L. Bishop, Draper,
Utah).
I, Art Bulla, might here give an account of my coming in contact with the
above named volume:
One day in Spring of 1974, while attending Brigham Young University I took a
required class on the Book of Mormon taught by George W. Pace, held in the
Joseph Smith auditorium. George, whom I admired greatly at the time, used
this classroom as an opportunity to instill in young attendees, what is
known as a "testimony" of the precepts and principles of the Gospel. He at
this class meeting had a "question and answer period" in which students were
encouraged to ask questions on theology which puzzled them or otherwise
mystified them. After several questions had been asked and answered by Bro.
Pace, a returned missionary stood up in the back of the auditorium, which
had an echo, and asked in the loud voice, "While I was on my mission in
___________ (I can't remember the place) some anti-Mormons gave us
literature which quoted Brigham Young teaching that Adam was God. Would you
please tell me if this is true, and if Brigham Young taught this, was he
wrong?" Bro. Pace paused a moment before replying and answered: "The
documents are in Special Collections on the fifth floor of the Harold B. Lee
Library (which was right next door to the Joseph Smith auditorium). I urge
you to go up and read the documents for yourself and make your own
judgment." This created a hue and cry of astonishment from the class, and
this was only my second time that I had heard the Adam-God theory mentioned.
I waited for everyone to file out of the auditorium and left to myself,
alone, I raised my voice to God asking Him on the subject. Whereupon I was
seized upon by the almighty Power and Spirit of God which descended upon me,
and I was almost physically picked up and carried by the Spirit to the
Harold B. Lee library, to the fifth floor, I think it was, but right over to
the bookshelf where this book Keys to the Priesthood Illustrated by Lyn L
and Stephen L. Bishop of Draper, Utah was located. I immediately checked it
out, carried it home and began to read. A spirit of fear then came upon me,
that I was being deceived, so I took the book back and to the librarian on
that floor I protested that such "apostate literature" could be had in this
of all libraries! Later I have been revealed in too numerous instances to
mention the veracity of almost every detail of the book. So when I borrow
from it you can have my recommendation that these things are verily true and
no twisting of the facts have occurred by these authors, whom I thank
gratefully for their labor and sacrifice in bringing these things to light.
There is one severe caveat, as per revelation to me that the conclusion of
this book, that there is an "Indian Prophet" who will set in order the house
of God is completely inaccurate and is false doctrine, saith the Lord. So,
even out of the "best books" one must have revelation to guide him or he
will fall into grievous errors and perish. "The hand, the eye, the senses
may all be deceived, but the spirit of God cannot be deceived, and when a
man is filled with that spirit, he knows that which is beyond the power of
any man to controvert." Brigham Young.

Problem is that you've done it for *your* sake, Art. NOBODY really

Smith was a lecherous con artist and Brigham Young was a crude vulgar
asshole that had people murdered and castrated to keep the 'flock' in
line and retain control.
