"Serum testosterone levels in healthy young black and white men.
Ross R, Bernstein L, Judd H, Hanisch R, Pike M, Henderson B.
Blacks in the United States have the highest prostate cancer rate in the
world and nearly twice that of whites in the United States. The 2:1
black-to-white ratio in prostate cancer rates is already apparent at age
45
years, the age at which the earliest prostate cancer cases occur. This
finding suggests that the factor(s) responsible for the difference in
rates
occurs, or first occurs, early in life. Testosterone has been
hypothesized
to play a role in the etiology of prostate cancer, because testosterone
and
its metabolite, dihydrotestosterone, are the principal trophic hormones
that
regulate growth and function of epithelial prostate tissue. This report
gives the results of assays of circulating steroid hormone levels in
white
and black college students in Los Angeles, CA. Mean testosterone levels
in
blacks were 19% higher than in whites, and free testosterone levels were
21%
higher. Both these differences were statistically significant.
Adjustment by
analysis of covariance for time of sampling, age, weight, alcohol use,
cigarette smoking, and use of prescription drugs somewhat reduced the
differences. After these adjustments were made, blacks had a 15% higher
testosterone level and a 13% higher free testosterone level. A 15%
difference in circulating testosterone levels could readily explain a
twofold difference in prostate cancer risk.

The latest data on AIDS/ethnicity in Canada have been released by Health
Canada.
I offer some highlights:
1)The number of AIDS cases has declined over the last 10 years from
1,556
cases in 1991 to 261 in 2000. The number of cases in some ethnic groups
has
not declined at the same rate as others.
2) The proportion of whites with AIDS has declined over the last 10
years.
In 1991, the proportion of reported AIDS cases among Whites was 88.6%
and in
1995, 83.0%. In 1999, the proportion of cases with known ethnicity
dipped to
66.1% among Whites, but has since increased to 74.8% in 2000. With a
decrease among Whites, there has been a corresponding increase in the
proportion of reported AIDS cases among other ethnic groups. The
increase
has been most notable among Aboriginal persons and the Black population
since 1994
3) In 1996, Aboriginal persons and Blacks comprised 2.8% and 2.0% of
Canada's population. In 2000, they accounted for 9.2 % and 8.3% of
reported
AIDS cases, respectively. this indicates that both Aboriginal persons
and
Blacks are over-represented in reported AIDS cases in 2000.

And so we find that 133,630 is 41% of the total cases - tthe conclusion
is
that Blacks represent the majority of persons living with AIDS, while
they
are 13-14% of the total population.

reports, has found significant differences in violent crime rates for

THE EMPLOYMENT SITUATION: FEBRUARY 2002
The unemployment rate was essentially unchanged at 5.5 percent in
February, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor
reported today. Nonfarm payroll employment was up by 66,000 in February,

So, supposing that this would imply that black races are somehow
distinct from white, do you find some special meaning in that? Are you

Well is the Church Racist? No, they are not racist. Have people said some
stupid things about racism before? Obviously! I have as well. Ofcourse none
of us are perfect? People are often blindsided with shortened verses from
Church Doctrine or false verses by those who are not too fond of the
teachings. Joseph Smith, much like John Adams and John Quincy Adams was
someone who thought slavery should have been ended long ago. In 1842 Joseph
Smith said "I have advised slave holders to bring their slaves into a free
country and set them free--and educate them--and give them equal rights"
(Compilation of the Negro in Mormonism page 40). Now alot of people will
bring up the fact that the Church did not allow African Americans to hold
the Preisthood, and that is true. However, to emply that to racism is just
tedious and a way to blind side people looking into the Church or converts
in the Church. In 1978 it was allowed. Many things were happening durring
these trying times with racism throughout the world. God does what he needs
to do when God sees fit. Can you imagine a Black Mormon Missionary knocking
on the door of a White southern Baptist's, or even a white mans door in
1950? He wouldnt only be killed, he would have been mutilated. In 1950
racism was wide spread among Christian protestants as well as long before.
They even belittled a child who tried to go to school with her white
counterparts. Did the LDS take part in this? The answer is NO. Long before
1950 the LDS infact helped Officer Paul Cephas Howell in 1886 recieve a job
as THE FIRST BLACK POLICE OFFICER IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Wilford
Woodruff aranged for his employment.
If Christians or other religious people who say that the LDS are wrong by
the way they handled the racism situation or some stupid things they might
have said, then you must leave Christianity all together, or any religion!
Or any creed of people on the earth. You must not be affiliated with anyone
or anything by their standards!
Nonetheless, not very many European or Americans can say much about racism
or point that finger, because it is usually pointed in the wrong crowd.
This Church has done more for the African race than any other. So much that
the creator of the Black Panther Party joined our Church. Read how one of
our Presidents/Prophets, played the role in getting the first ever Black
American Police Officer hired with the Salt Lake City Police Department.
Read below and meet some of our African American, and African members. Ask
them what they think. Don't be fooled by gibberish misconceptions. African
and Black Mormons of this Church has a story that needs to be heard.

What Kim overlooks is that God originally created man and woman as happy
