Iranian authorities confronted their international and domestic rivals
Wednesday, angering the West by testing a high-speed missile and
raising political tensions at home by warning reformist opposition
leaders they could be arrested.

Brig. Gen. Ahmad Vahidi, Iran's defense minister, lauded the latest
test-firing of the Sejil-2 surface-to-surface missile, which was
broadcast on television in Iran.

Care to have sensible answer for once?

Thus proving it is only designed for domestic consumption. We do our
tests in secret lest our enemies glean methods and technology.

Countries like Iran broadcast their achievements to their citizens as
propaganda to assure them how mighty and promising they are. These
missile tests to them are like the space shuttle to us, at least early
on. We use to televise every shuttle launch and landing in the
1980s. While we were watching these shuttles, a newer one was already
completed but was top secret.

A rule of thumb is that whenever something of a military nature is
announced to the press, it's already old news. You never let your ace
card be known.

I support Iran. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ.

Because the West wants control of the Middle East. The West suspects
the Middle East of doing almost everything in the name of Allah,
including a world war. The West has no intentions of doing anything
in the name of Christ. The West bases all of its intentions in the
name of the dollar. The Middle East wants to change that. The West
wants things to stay as they are.

Daily??? a strange claim at best. However, the facts are that Iran has
publicly stated it's purpose of wiping Israel off the planet. There's
no pretense (or virtually none) of peaceful purposes nor even
defensive. The United States has pursued a policy of nuclear
disarmament for over 30 years and her "missile" tests are largely
confined to non-nuclear purposes such as space exploration et al and
anti-missile defense. To compare the two is absurd bordering on insane.

Not many Christians in Iran.

Where are you getting these "brothers and sisters in Christ" from?

As I've watched the events of the last few days it is clear once again
that President Obama is trying to pretend we are not at war. He seems
to think if he has a low key response to an attempt to blow up an
airliner and kill hundreds of people, we won't be at war. He seems to
think if he gives terrorists the rights of Americans, lets them lawyer
up and reads them their Miranda rights, we won't be at war. He seems
to think if we bring the mastermind of 9/11 to New York, give him a
lawyer and trial in civilian court, we won't be at war.

He seems to think if he closes Guantanamo and releases the hard-core
al Qaeda trained terrorists still there, we won't be at war. He seems
to think if he gets rid of the words, "war on terror," we won't be at
war. But we are at war and when President Obama pretends we aren't, it
makes us less safe. Why doesn't he want to admit we're at war? It
doesn't fit with the view of the world he brought with him to the Oval
Office. It doesn't fit with what seems to be the goal of his
presidency - social transformation--the restructuring of American
society. President Obama's first object and his highest responsibility
must be to defend us against an enemy that knows we are at war.

Dick Cheney's head isn't screwed on straight. When Richard Reed (The Shoe
Bomber) tried to blow up his sneakers while in flight, on American Airlines,
no one from the administration said anything about it, not even old
'Straight Shootin' Dick himself. Dick is suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
So far Obama has said tons more about it than George Dubya Bush said about
Katrina, and New Orleans.

Dick Cheney needs to be put into a nursing home.

Quite a horror show you guys have come up with. Night of the living morons
and paranoid schizoids. Only, I can't tell which are the true morons and
who's the schizoidial-zombies. Please surround those graves with mirrors and
sliver spikes, a few crosses won't hurt either.

Forget garlic, might as well sprinkle nutmeg
