First of all my appologies to Joe Slater, please send me your

appologies to anyone who recieves two or more of this message.
This list is usually used to occasionally dstribute Judao-Christian
research information, however today's e-mail is on another topic.
Also please foward this e-mail to all potentialy interested
persons, listservers and usenet newsgroups.
I am sending this e-mail out because I need your help. Let me explain:
I am having a run-in with child protective services in Texas.
Although EVERYTHING that they have turned up in their investigation has
indicated that niether my wife nor I have abused our children, CPS insists
on continueing to investigate us. Let me explain:
On the weekend of the 16th and 17th of Aug. my daughter Sarah got
in trouble several times (though we practice spanking, she was not spanked
on this weekend) she was ALMOST grounded from attending a weekend GirlScout
event as a result. She was "yelled at" several times over this weekend and
was warned that one more infraction would prevent her from going. She
barely managed to go, but when she left she was pretty unhappy. She told
the GirlScout leader that all her parents ever do is yell at her and that
"my parants dont really love me" as children will. The Girl Scout leader
called the CPS hotline and reported that we were "emotionally and possibly
physicly abusing" our daughter. CPS visited my nine year old daughter's
school on Thursday Aug. 21st. An agent named Marlene Johnson took my
daughter to a seperate room ALONE, UNKNOWN TO MYSELF OR MY WIFE,
questioned her and STRIPPED HER. (This undid all that we had taught our
daughter, that no adult should ever do that except her Doctor, it also
violated the school policy, which states that we must be notified FIRST
unless just cause is given to the principle. The principle never knew that
it had happened). The questioning and stripping of my daughter revealed no
marks, and my daughter insisted that she was not abused nor had she been
injured. No one from the school EVER notified us of these events (we are
now homeschooling!). On Saturday the 23rd the peace of our Sabbath was
shattered when we recieved a letter from CPS telling us we needed to
contact them to answer "allegations." My wife, who is verry ill, was so
stressed that she went into one of her worst siezures in weeks. CPS has
since spoken to the childs grandmother and myself, both of us assuring them
that all is well. Our child's doctor (who has been our doctor for all
three children) has spoken with CPS and told them that he has NEVER seen
ANYTHING to indicate abuse of ANY of our children. He also told them that
Sarah was in his office for a medical exam on Mon. the 18th of Aug. and had
NO SIGNS of any injuries. Another doctor (a genetisist) that our children
have seen made the same statement (except regarding seeing Sarah on the
18th). EVERYTHING that CPS has found has pointed to no abuse, yet CPS
continues to place us under the microscope, all because we yelled at our
daughter. My wife who is very ill has gotten worse due to the recent
stress of being investigated.
In the state of Texas, if someone calls CPS and makes even these
weak kind of allegations, you will have your life turned upside down. You
will be investigated, and Gov. Bush (who constitutionally executes the laws
of the state of Texas) will, thru CPS, put you under investigation.
Despite the fact that the investigation has only succeeded in
proving that we have not abused our children, I resent the fact that the
State of Texas has us under investigation simply because I yelled at my
daughter, and that the State of Texas has refused to drop this
investigation, even after uncovering a mass of evidence which indicates
that no abuse took place.
I am hoping that this e-mail will generate some public outrage
worldwide. If you would like to complain to the State of Texas and to CPS

In the header request that a copy of the e-mail be forwarded to Marla
Johnson and to Gov. George Bush (the above e-mail addresses are for various
CPS officials and my state Representatives office, which should forward a
copy to the Gov. (My State Rep. has been quite supportive, but has gotten
nowhere in trying to help me; the Gov. office wont give out his e-mail
address, and Marla Johnson won't give out hers, but her bosses are all up
there.).
