When Ted Kennedy opposed Judge Clarance Thomas, was it because of his skin
color? Not many liberals believe so, rather it was Thomas' ideas that
Kennedy rejected. Why is it, therefore, racist for Glenn Beck to reject
Obama's ideas?
Does ANYONE think that if Obama was a white guy, Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity,
Levin, and all the rest, would be magically ok with the policies? If
Biden was President instead, proposing the exact same stuff, the
Republicans would be supporting it?
OFCOURSE NOT!
The fact of the matter is, when it is an advantage to a liberal to play
the race card, it is played, without consideration of if it actually
applies or not.
I don't recall any nasty references to Thomas' race. The opposition
stuck to his qualifications (low) and his ideas (medium nutty).

It's not if Beck sticks to ideas. He doesn't.

The republicans, being republicans, would use any irrelevant fact or
invented non-fact to influence their credulous constituency.

Unfortunately, it applies.

Exactly right. Nor do I hear Rush Limbaugh making nasty references to
Obama's race. Limbaugh talks about his qualifications (low) and his
ideas (mega nutty). I do, however, hear Limbaugh talking about how
liberals will use Obama's race...
Was Limbaugh being a racist when he opposed Bill Clinton? Was Limbaugh
being a racist when he supported Clarance Thomas?

In other words, playing the same political game that the Democrats engage
in...
Beck thinks Obama has a deep seated hatred of whites. Since that does
not appear to be true, we can presume Beck is projecting his own
feelings. Beck is a failed comic that found and audience of sheep. IF
being racist would work for him, he'd do that. He rubs vicks on his
eyes to cry on demand. The guy is a sociopath.

Yup, Limbaugh's qualifications are indeed low, and his ideas are indeed mega
nutty. Thanks for playing.

All you know of politics, you get from highly impeachable sources. Wipe

WHO'S playing the race card ???
Glenn Beck on Barack Obama: "This guy is, I believe, a racist"
Take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MI_0Kt_e3Go
Jon, yes! he does and has all along, all most all are opposing only
his ideas, nuts are claim otherwise so that they can try to divert the
message to their lie.
They can't back their ideas so they trump up something to replace it
in the discussions.
Jon: Appear to whom? He followed a nut who has staed that kind of
hatred over and over.
He almost said stated the tranfer of white wealth twice himself.
Some of his other people have said it.
> we (political racists) can presume Beck is projecting his own feelings.
Jon: You lib's, pointing out that you do it is not playing it, it's
exposing your game.

Ok, good point... I stand corrected...

No, Limbaugh is entertainment. He is fun to listen to. I don't listen to
Hannity any more though... That guy's selective memory is the most
annoying I have ever had the mispleasure to run across.
Anyone with half a brain will not care what a hack entertainer like
Glenn Beck has to say.
JAM
Rush Limbaugh is a hack entertainer, just like Howard Stern.
If you take anything he says seriously then you are a fool.
JAM
That is what he says he is when his tit gets caught in a ringer.

Oh yes... The skit where children are chanting "Rush Hudson Limbaugh, MMM
MMM MMM" was not a parody of the Obama chant out of New Jersey. Rather,
Rush is assembling his army of elementary school children to take over the
world...

"Pinky and the Brain" much?

Rush Hudson Limbaugh, MMM MMM MMM.
Rush Hudson Limbaugh, MMM MMM MMM
My parents turn Rush Limbaugh on the nearest radio.
He tells me that the left is wrong and stuff I need to know.
We turn it off when he is done because there's no other show.
Rush, keep broadcasting on.
Glory, glory hallelujah.
Gore and Clinton couldn't fool ya.
Barack Obama can't control ya.
Rush, keep broadcasting on.
In 1951 he was born is Missourri.
Now he's on the radio conducting EIB.
He's on the air from 12 to 3 from sea to shining sea.
He keeps broadcasting on.
Glory, glory hallelujah.
Gore and Clinton couldn't fool ya.
Barack Obama can't control ya.
Rush, keep broadcasting on.
Rush, keep broadcasting on.

I listened to Rush in the early 90s when he first hit Cali on talk
radio. My dad enjoyed him (still does) and told me I really needed
to hear him, he was funny.
While I never heard Rush be overtly racist, what bothered me was how
his POV appealled to the deep seated racism and misogyny in middle aged
white males, guys who act like tough guys, and felt that they were
getting stepped on and taken advantage of by a welfare state run for the
sake
of inferior minorities and women.
Rush mostly avoided overt racism, but there were definitely buzz
words I recognized, and the level of emotion it engendered in his
listeners was a bit unsettling.
I listened to other critics of affirmative action on radio, and saw there
could be reasoned discussion about it. That wasn't about Rush,
and yes he claimed it was about entertainment, but the entertainment
was to get racists all fired up and see what happens next.
The great irony was his use of 'sense of entitlement'. Nobody but
NOBODY feels entitled like old white guys.

A lot of things appeal "to the deep seated racism and misogyny in middle
aged white males"... Do you believe that such people are the only people
that Rush's POV appeals to?
Probably not. I don't listen anymore, it was the strongest thing that
struck me when
I used to listen to him and when I talked to my dad or my cousins
during that time.

It's not racist to oppose buckwheat's ruination of the US.

Buckwheat and his minions like jcarter.
Yet he's the most popular pundit on tv.
But it IS racist to refer to a black person as 'buckwheat',
bigot.

Religion is simply someone's way of drawing a line in the
