It's a sort of dark cherry red color, lighter than normal Dr. Pepper.
The label informs me that the product is named 'red fusion', all lower
case, but doesn't really indicate what is being fused. The cap on the
bottle is pink and says "grab me! red fusion'.
You can tell it's a Dr. Pepper product because it has the "WARNING:
CONTENTS UDER PRESSURE. CAP MAY BLOW OFF CAUSING EYE OR OTHER SERIOUS
INJURY. POINT AWAY FROM FACE AND PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY WHILE OPENING."
warning the all Dr. Pepper products have. (My favorite part of the
warning: "ESPECIALLY WHILE OPENING.")
The stuff is really fizzy, so be warned lest you spill soda on your
boots!
To smell and taste it's basically the Dr. Pepper experience, except
there's a strong, slightly sour undertone that reminds me of
cherry-flavored cough drops. I'd say it's a slightly stronger and more
lasting taste than Dr. Pepper, unless I'm misremembering.
I think I like regular Dr. Pepper better (especially the stuff with
Imperial Cane Sugar! Yow!), but this isn't bad, and if it were
available when regular Dr. Pepper wasn't I would likely get it. (Though
I can't really think of a situation where that would be the case.)
Other people were buying it while I was in the deli, so perhaps it will
remain on the market for a while.
