It might be based on another song. Lyrics transcribed from the highlights
of the day on the radio station's website.

Onion Ring
Wolfgramm Sisters

On a bed of lettuce
On a bed of lettuce
On a bed of lettuce
On a bed of lettuce
On a bed of lettuce
On a bed of lettuce
On a bed of lettuce
Now put your hands up
I'm up in the queue
The BBQ
Lookin' for something to eat
Drippin' in fat
Not touching that
I want something to go with my meat
Chew your chop
Isn't much cop
I'm in to healthy good things
Why don't you get us
A leaf of lettuce
I'll get the onion rings

Chorus:
If you like it then you put an onion ring on it
If you like it then you put an onion ring on it
Don't be mad if you see someone else get it
If you like it then you put an onion ring on it
Oh Oh Oh

Chorus

I got a plate of chips
Salad and dips
A chop the size of a horse
I don't care
Well done or rare
Better drown it in BBQ sauce
Your standard kebab
Tastes pretty drab
Wrapped in a piece of bread
Onion ring
Is wearable bling
Can always wear it instead

Chorus

Chorus

Don't serve me some shrimp balls
Snag, that's really not my bag
I feel it's what I prefer
It's what I deserve
I need a meat that's tasy, not pasty
And delivers me some fat-free
Something savoury and beyond
Lead me up to the grill
So you cook me anything
Not a (?) a chicken wing, like a grilled onion ring

On a bed of lettuce
On a bed of lettuce
On a bed of lettuce
On a bed of lettuce
On a bed of lettuce
On a bed of lettuce
On a bed of lettuce
Now put your hands up
Oh Oh Oh
Oh Oh Oh

Chorus

If you like it then you put an onion ring on it
If you like it then you put an onion ring on it
Don't be mad if you see someone else get it
If you like it then you put an onion ring on it
Oh Oh Oh

Alex will find a way to silently get from where she is to where she

Anna will make an Anna sized hole between where she is to where she

I recall somebody once asking Dr. Ruth if that was OK behavior.
She said that it was.

The police busted an onion ring in my area.
After obtaining a confession from the ring leaders,
authorities were led to a warehouse packed with
vidalias.

In other news:

Someone drilled a hole in the wall which surrounds our
local nudist colony. Police are looking into it.

I was reminded of the songs "Cheese and Onions" by the Rutles, and "Glass
Onion" by you know who, but obviously this isn't either of those.

I would think that they would cool off enough when playing ring toss
with them. If they aren't crisp, they are hard to throw.
