Megagilby's inflatable fantasy joy-toy and pinata.
Why would you want to?
I caught a Star Track episode where the villain in some bad novel that
was being recreated was named "Mickey D", and that same night the
first commercial where McDonald's called themselves that aired.

Speaking of American fast-food cultural icons, I have just a twinge
of trouble with "Kentucky Fried Chicken" being "modernized" and now called
"KFC." Not to mention the little animated, old, white dude dancing around
in the commercials. Old white dudes don't dance that way, they make fun
of people who dance that way.

"Heavy metal fans are buying heavy metal records,
taking the records home, listening to the records, and
then blowing their heads off with shotguns? Where's the problem?"
What's worse is, that old white dude was ALIVE twenty years ago.
And what's worse than that is, that's not the first time they "re-animated" him,
so to speak... they ran a bunch of ads around 1995 where, I think,
they hired an actor to portray the Colonel in some commercials that
were sort of a cross between Pepperage Farms and Bartles & Jaymes.
What's probably worse than that is, that in Japan there are probably
ads with a little anime Colonel running around doing weird hip things,
which is a lot like our commercials except the Japanese Colonel is
probably in a schoolgirl uniform.
I remember when the Tonight Show aired some American guy asking
the Japanese people on the street to identify American celebrities,
and while some people got OJ, and a few others got MC Hammer,
EVERYONE could identify Colonel Sanders. This explains why there's
no record of him in the Confederate army registry -- he joined the
army after the Civil War, and was part of the American occupying
forces following World War II. Now I have the material I need to
write my thesis!
The "KFC" thing is because the name Kentucky is trademarked, though.
Blame the state of Kentucky(TM).

You're absolutely right. The Colonel is actually one of the new
Sailor Scouts on "Sailor Moon." Just saw it on Toonami. He's called
Sailor Extra-Crispy.

Traditional Japanese armor, actually, because yesterday was
kodomo-no-hi. Flying carp everywhere! I got a haircut.
I've shown the jpeg of the Colonel I have on my laptop to
many Japanese, and everyone recognized him as the fried
chicken statue guy but could not tell me his name.

Give them a hint and tell them he has the same name as my dog.
That should do it.

I don't know what the real armed forces of the US wear, but I hope
they're better than those freaking boots. I almost got laughed out

Lawsuit 'em for it. How dare they name fast f--d chain after your dog.
Unless you're getting a cut. Of money.
That must have been some sharp carp!

Or his rank? OH NO.
Do they really have fried chicken in Japan? It seems as if everything
edible in Japan is either fish or little and square, usually both.
And the token McDonald's to prove that America owns everything.
But I have a hard time seeing KFC in Japan.
Well, as you probably know, "kodomo" means "haircut" and
"hi" means "free!!!!111!". So "kodomo-no-hi" is "FREE
HAIRCUT DAY D00D!!11". They attach razorblades to the
flying carp to facilitate this very special festival.
Also, Hiroshima's baseball team is called the "Hiroshima
Carp". And they sure are bottom feeders. They lose ALL
THE TIME! But the surpising bit is, I asked some Japanese
people if they knew what "carp" meant. THEY DIDN'T!!!!1!
THEY HAVE BIG CARPS FLYING EVERYWHERE, PONDS FULL OF CARP,
A BASEBALL TEAM CALLED CARP, AND NOBODY KNOWS WHAT A CARP
ACTUALLY IS!!! I was a bit surprised.

What, do you want PHOTOS??? They even have gigantic fibreglass
Colonels that they wheel out when they open the shop. He stands
out in the stleet rooking fliendry. And a LOT of Japanese food
is fried. They have some fried chicken Japanese food called
"karaage". It's pretty good in a bento. Also, have you heard
of "tempura"?
cheers
