The blaze broke out about 12:30 a.m. at the 1,600-square-foot home, city
fire spokesman Brian Humphrey said. Fire investigators said the blaze was
apparently caused by a faulty space heater in the bedroom, which was added
by enclosing a porch. A smoke detector in the front of the house apparently
went off but did not awaken Graves, officials said.
When firefighters arrived they found the rear part of the home engulfed in
flames. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Graves' mother had lived with her but was recently hospitalized after a
stroke, officials said.
Graves, who was born in Houston, started her career as a singer with the
Doodletown Pipers in the 1960s.
She later turned to acting debuting in "Laugh-In," hosted by Dan Rowan and
Dick Martin in 1969 and 1970.
She also played supporting roles in several films during the 1970s,
including "Black Eye," "That Man Bolt" and "Vampira."
Her biggest role was a leading spot in the TV series "Get Christie Love!"
which aired from September 1974 to July 1975. Her final appearance in show
business was in a Bob Hope television special in 1982.
Graves apparently left her acting career in 1983 to concentrate on religion
and her involvement with the Jehovah's Witnesses, according to Sandra
Brennan of All Movie Guide.

PB,
well that might explain why jehooover-Of-The-WT's-Fallen-Angels
were "evidently" NOT watching over her and protecting her,
you know, like the jWs just love to gush about whenever a
missionary theokrat in Lower TimbukToo makes a 'narrow escape'
from whatever certain death scenario...
"It was because of the Protection of jehovah's Angel
over his faithful ones, blah, blah, bleaaaaach!"
So, the question now is, WHY did JabHole post that tragic event?
To demonstrate . . . w h a t ? ? ?
