My Dear Fellowmen

I would like to inform you that the number of Jesus is 888. There is a
scientific proof in the derivation of this number. In addition, God
confirms that this is the number of Jesus by manifesting this at the
Campbelltown Post Office in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
This is the scientific proof: The name of Jesus in Greek is spelled as
Iota, Eta, Sigma, Omicron, Upsilon, Sigma. The Greeks used the Ionic Greek
Ciphered Numeral System beginning 300 BC. That is 300 years even before
Jesus was even born!
In this numeral system, each letter in the Greek alphabet has a
corresponding value. Hence, if we assign the value to each letter in the
name of Jesus, and add them up, the total is 888. These are the values of
each letter in the name of Jesus: Iota is 10; Eta, 8; Sigma, 200; Omicron,
70; Upsilon, 400; Sigma, 200. The sum of 10+8+200+70+400+200 is 888.
And this is the manifestation: At the Campbelltown Post Office, some 50
km southwest of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, post office box number
888 is found right in the middle of a cross. Box 888 is found in a set of
boxes nine across (or columns) and eight rows (or levels). There are four
boxes to the left, four to the right, four below and three above box 888.
Is this a coincidence? 888, Jesus, cross.
Aside from this configuration, box 888 is found in the middle set of
boxes. There is a set of boxes to the right and another set to the left.
This will remind us of the crucifixion that happened at Calvary where Jesus
was in the middle flanked by two thieves on His either sides.
To the right of the middle set, a cross can also be drawn or formed.
This may portray the thief, Dimas, who asked Jesus to remember him when
Jesus comes as King. Jesus replied to Dimas, "I will take you now with Me
to Paradise." (Luke 23:41-42). A cross can be formed in this set to tell us
of what could happen to anyone who trusts Jesus.
To the left of the middle set, a cross cannot be drawn or formed. This
may portray the thief, Hestas, who hurled insults at Jesus and questioned
His being the Messiah who could not even save Himself nor the thieves (Luke
23:39). Thus we note that in this set of boxes, a cross cannot be formed.
Now, would you believe that box 888 is our post office box? My wife
chose this number in February 1993 because she said it signifies our arrival
in Australia. We arrived as migrants in Australia on August 21, 1988.
August is the eighth month. The year was 1988. Hence, 888. It was a year
later in May 1994 when I learned that 888 is the number of Jesus. And it
was in July 1994 when I discovered that box 888 is in the middle of a cross
and in December 1994 when I discovered the three sets to remind us of the
crucifixion at Calvary. Did you notice how God planned for us to have this
box? Would you also believe that we could have arrived in Australia in 1986
(one year after applying) had there been no condition of a confirmed
employer for me? This whole story will be published later.
Now that you know that 888 is the number of Jesus, maybe you would like
that your vehicle plate number has 888 or that your house number be 888 or
that you live in unit 8 of building number 88, etc. Just remember, let
Jesus live in your heart always and you will be righteous.
If you would like to see this manifestation of God at the Campbelltown
Post Office, I would suggest that you visit Sydney. Better still is do it
next year when you attend the 2000 Olympic Games. How do you like my
invitation to come over to see this wonderful work of God at Campbelltown?
If you have further questions or comments, please post them. I will be
glad to answer them.
May God bless us always.

The only problem is that jesus was not a greek name but a semitic name
(Issa), he spoke aramean ( a semitic language) and the original version of
the new testament was written in Syriac ( a semitic language ancestors of
Hebrew and Arabic) and before it got lost for ever it was translated in the
Greek vulgate and then Latin.

888 may be the number for Christ but 900 is the number for Christians
who post such junk.

Watch out, folks. It will cost you if you listen to drivel.

Dear Marc and my Fellowmen,

The question here is the name of Jesus. His name in English is Jesus;
in Spanish, Jesus or Jesucristo; in French, (I don't know); in German, (I
don't know). Please help supply the name of Jesus in various languages.
So in Greek, that is how His name is spelled - iota, eta, sigma,
omicron, upsilon, sigma. It so happened that the Greeks had a numeral
system also. Using that numeral system, it came out that the number of
Jesus is 888.
Try this method using Hebrew and Arabic where each letter in their
alphabets have corresponding values also like the Greeks. Would somebody
supply the names of Jesus in Hebrew and Arabic?
Thank you and God bless us always.

Why didn't you inform me sooner? You could have spared me from watching the
Exorcist.
