Peace to all of you in the Spirit,

You might want to check with your local minister to find out such information.
I know that the three approved seminaries for the Unitarian Universalist
association would be accepting--Harvard Divinity, Thomas Star King Divinity
School and a third in Illinois whose name escapes me. These may not be what
you are interested in, though.
You could check with the United Church of Christ and see which school they use
(I know Harvard is one) as they would probably be accepting, also.
I, myself, hope to go to Hebrew Union College to be ordained, but I doubt
you're interested in the rabbinate.
Congratulations on your decision and good luck!
Toby

Harvard Divinity School would suit you well. I am myself an alumnus,
1987, and an Episcopal priest.

Some years ago I met a transvestite (in the process of becoming a
transsexual) who had been accepted at Harvard Divinity, so they must be
pretty open and accepting. You might want to check out the book, The
Search for God at Harvard, by Ari Goldman, a New York Times religion
writer. Also, I understand Harvard subsidizes the tuition, as compared
to other graduate programs there. And I'm sure they have a lot of
scholarship opportunities.
As someone else mentioned, Union Theological Seminary in NYC is good
too. I'm not sure that they would have the same scholarship
opportunities.
Btw, you mentioned MCC. Didn't MCC used to have their own seminary,
Samaritan or something?
Also, I would suggest you consider entering into a ministry process
with the MCC you belong to, rather than just going off to seminary on
your own. You need to involve yourself in a discernment process,
IMNSHO, to learn whether God is really calling you in this direction,
and to get some sense of confirmation from other mature Christians.
Good luck,
Zephon

I was off a little on the name of the gay-friendly seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
It's United, not Union. When I talked Maundy Thursday to the woman I know
who's gone there, she said that although she herself "didn't wear a sign"
saying she was Lesbian, she found it gay friendly. Also, she said that one of
her professors there was definitely gay and out.
