In 2006, caught as part of Operation Ore, Freemason Brother Gerry McCann,
who claims he is Roman Catholic, was found to have used his credit card to
download illegal child pornography from the Internet and was charged with
having over 200,000 indecent images of children and babies being sexually
abused and murdered and for trafficking his own produced video's of child
abuses and murder, which landed him on the UK National Child Sex Abuse
Offence Register.

Are you daring him to sue you for libel? Or do you have a reputable
link?

Evidence.
If he was placed on the Register (IIRC the name you have given is not
correct) there should be a record of the court case.

There are lots of links. Are you incapable of entering "Gerry McCann,
Operation Ore" into a search engine?

Oh, wait a minute - you really dont want to search using those
keywords do you?

You want someone else to do all that for you. I wonder why? Are you so
paranoid that you are really frightened of what might happen to you if
you do?

It goes to show just how much the authorities are becoming 'Big
Brother' if people are frightened of just being curious.

Is that surprising? There seems to be nothing reputable about any of
the story.

How many other families who have lost young children, have had so many
accusations and theories associated with them? And why do you think
that is?

Ok, so every theory about Madeleine is a conspiracy, except for the
one you believe in?

And how does that not make you a nut job as well?

Presumably, you are about to show us the watertight case you have for
how the girl was abducted, and when - and maybe even where she is now?

Be sure to include all the details - after all presumably your version
is above criticism.

Not at all. It is possible not to have one's own theory. It is also possible
to realise that of all theories, this one tends to lack credibility because
it is repeatedly, and tediously, unsupported by any credible evidence. And
it is also possible not to give a toss about any of the theories at all and
to understand that some things are unknown and likely to remain so for a

That is very true, but having read the witness statements and seen how
some of them have changed as regularly as the wind direction, I can
understand how people begin to question the official version.

Then, adding on the voracity with which the slightest questioning of
said official version is pursued by high profile lawyers, it is not
really just the nutjobs who question why such silencing of wayward
voices needs to take place.

But whatever your opinion on the case (and we all have one), you're
believing a theory that has no basis in known fact.

There is no more evidence to support an abduction as there is to support the
theory that Gerry McCann is a shapeshifting lizard - ie, none.

Some theories are more plausible than others. Given the lack of information,
I think it is wrong (and very hurtful to the McCanns) to speculate in
public.

Less, in fact, because one day Gerry McCann pretends to be a practicing
Roman Catholic, the next he's back to the Freemason religion.

Do you. How noble.

And whose fault is that for making every detail of the abduction
public, at every opportunity possible?

Those people who choose to use wall to wall media coverage of their
private lives, including appeals which raise many thousands of pounds,
cannot complain if the public begin to wonder exactly how their
donations are being spent.

The only hurt that the McCanns are suffering has been brought on their
lives purely by their own selfish and greedy actions, and deep down
I'm sure they know that, but are probably in denial.

Do you mean like way Kate McCann called Sky News before she told the local
police in Portugal?

Would not be the free tickets Kate and Brother Gerry secured to see Everton
play Liverpool in the FA cup semi-final?

What help did that give to the search for Madeleine? FA?

Not just ordinary free tickets, but they were sitting in the
hospitality seats which when I looked started at £395 per person.

Maybe their millionaire friend paid for them, the guy who has *allegedly*
been interfering with and intimidating witnesses who didn't sing from the
"abduction" hymn sheet:

Which of course Kate and Brother Gerry McCann needed because Madeleine
might be hiding not in a libel court, but on the pitch at Wembley?

I wish I had not posted that now.

That URL returns a 404 error using my ISP's DNS server (BeUnlimited).
Substituting an OpenDNS server brings up the website.

I thought you had cable?

He did, but the Freemasons have tampered with it. Only the purest
fibre-optic cable is able to resist Masonic interference. Masons are
copper-based life forms.

Never a truer word spoken in jest: in the current decade a self-declared
Freemason demanded information from me about my Internet connection.

I wish! There is no cable in my area, so I'm stuck with ADSL2 at
present.

Still, I chose a place close to an exchange and get 21Mbps from
BeUnlimited, which is pretty good for what I want and much better than
the 4Mbps I was getting on the boat, but I'd snap up anything
significantly faster. Which may well happen around October when BT
has said they will be installing fibre. If that can deliver
significantly better speeds, I'll switch to BT. It's only FTTC
though, not FTTP.

Does not BT OpenReach have to make its network available to all retailers?

By a considerable amount in terms of its capacity unless you are very
close to the exchange. Realisable speeds depend on how many people
are being supplied via a single cable. One other factor is that the
upload speed is not considerably slower than the download speed, which
makes a big difference when you are using the Internet for certain
things (such as having a private server).

Fibre is much faster still, and there is no sharing of the physical
fibre link.

Yes, I believe so, but that does not mean that other ISPs are obliged
to supply a service to every area BT has a service. Unbundling the
local loop involves considerable capital equipment costs, and the
equipment needed for fibre is different to that for copper.
BeUnlimited have some plans to take over fibre, but have stated that
the plans are not immediate and it will be at least a year before they
commence trials.
