The Olympic Games in Beijing, China, will open on August 8, 2008. This
will be on the eight day of the eighth month of the year 2008 or 888.
Did you know that 888 is the number of Jesus?
The detailed explanation of how 888 is the number of Jesus can be
found at http://www.geocities.com/peacecrusader888/jesus888.htm. You
will even be amazed on God’s use of the humble post office boxes to
prove and confirm it. And the crucifixion, too.
Briefly, how is 888 the number of Jesus? In the Greek numeral system,
each letter in the Greek alphabet has a corresponding value. If we
substitute the value to each letter in the name of Jesus in Greek and
add them up, the total is 888. In Greek, the name of Jesus is spelled
as IHSOUS (iota, eta, sigma, omicron, upsilon, sigma) as shown in
http://www.greekbible.com. These letters and their corresponding
values are: iota = 10, eta = 8, sigma = 200, omicron = 70, upsilon =
400, sigma = 200. The total of these values is 888. Coincidence?
888 is not in the Bible but the number of the Devil, 666, is
(Revelation 13:18). Did you notice that they are both three digits
repeated thrice? 888 may not be there because it still had to be
discovered. Did you know that the present form of the number 8 came
about only in the 10th century AD?
The superstitious Chinese has a fascination for number 8. The more 8s,
the luckier. To them, 888 is a very lucky number. The true God may be
giving a signal to them that their lucky number is the number of
Jesus, that they turn to Him to be lucky to go to the true Heaven.
This may not be mere coincidence but planned.

888 is Jesus' number; 666 is Satan's number.... add them up and get a
very significant number: 1554 - which is the year you have to regress
to in order to find numerology valid and toying with numbers
meaningful.

No, it isn't. Numerology is gibberish.

H is the 8th letter of the Roman alphabet, which makes
888 = HHH = the initials of Senator Hubert Horatio Humphrey,
who's dead.
Hubert Horatio Humphrey is dead.
Jesus Christ is dead.
888 is just a number. You can interpret it any way you want.
Is Jesus Christ dead? Did He not show to His disciples that He was
alive after being entombed for three days and three nights? How long
was He around with His disciples before He ascended to Heaven? Was it
not 40 days? Was His ascension to Heaven not witnessed by His
disciples at Mount Olivet? Did Jesus not come back? Not physically
though yet but as a spirit. Because He is the Holy Spirit. Did you
know who it was who Saul of Tarsus (later known as Saint Paul) called
Lord on His way to Damascus? Wasn't that Jesus? Wasn't it at this
instance that Saul became a believer of Jesus from being a persecutor
of The Way to become an advocate, a champion, of the Christian
faith?
Who is the spirit who we talk to? Did I not tell you that He is
Jesus? Did you know that it took me eleven years of doubt if that
spirit is really Jesus? Yes, eleven years! From 1983 when I first
heard Him to 1994 when I discovered events in my life that would not
have happened had it not been because of God, including this 888. You
may visit the website I mentioned in the original post.
What does the Bible say about the Holy Spirit who Jesus promised to
His disciples that He would send? In John 16:13, King James Version,
it says: "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide
you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever
he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to
come." Yes, the Spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit, will guide us into
all truth. And He will show us things to come. Have I not told you
about where World War III will start? The Holy Spirit revealed this
to us more than ten years ago. And many, many other things like AIDS,
unnatural and unbelievable occurrences, the violent weather, etc.
So is Jesus Christ dead? He is not. And He showed to us that the
spirit in the physical body does not die. It will live forever like
God because our spirit came from God.

He certainly died 2,000 years ago.

Old wives tales from the bible.

Old wives tales. There is no such place as heaven.

He died. Only in religion that a person lived on after death.

Go to church to do your talking. In here, it is not worth your
breath.

I commend you for being someone who acknowledges that a person by the
name of Jesus Christ existed and died some 2000 years ago.
However, you are also saying that what is in the Bible are “old wives
tales”. Are they? Jesus did not write anything about Himself. His
story was written by His disciples, by other people, even by one who
persecuted His followers (Saul of Tarsus who later became Saint
Paul). You may believe in Adolf Hitlet who wrote “Mein Kampf” or Karl
Marx who wrote “Das Kapital” based on their ideas that they wrote
about. But Jesus did not write His ideas. Other people wrote down
their experiences with Him. Who do you think is more credible then?
Don’t you think that the Internet is better to share our experiences
than going to the church and talk. At least here, you may scrutinize
what a person is saying, paragraph, sentence, even word only. And you
can refer back to what the person wrote since it is available 24/7 or
archived.
Yes, definitely.
> Jesus did not write anything about Himself.
Maybe he had nothing to say.
> His
> story was written by His disciples, by other people, even by one who

Yes, spinned by superstitious people who were looking for life after
death.
Yes, spinned by superstitious people who were praying for miracles.
Miracles to cure the uncurable, the lepers, the kings who had power
over them.
Miracles to get the unattainable, the riches, the beautiful, the youth
of the passing years.
Miracles that everyone was good at heart, humanity for others, the
helpless.
But the true reality of life is hard, cruel, greed, uncurable,
unattainable, ugly,
and the passing time is heartless of all.
It left us old, weak, ugly, helpless, and death...
There is no coming back to life for anyone.
Not you, not me, not Jesus Christ.
Mother Nature only want us back as chemical compounds.
Scientists are looking for Jesus Christ bones today.
> You may believe in Adolf Hitlet who wrote “Mein Kampf” or Karl
> Marx who wrote “Das Kapital” based on their ideas that they wrote
I don't believe in either one.
> about. But Jesus did not write His ideas.
Maybe he didn't know how to write.
> Other people wrote down
> their experiences with Him.
And other people had big imaginations and bigger expectations. These
people wanted Jesus Christ to come back and save them from the ugly
truth of life, that life is cruel.
Life is hard.
Life is dirty.
Life is sickness and disease, the lepers, the starvations,...
and all to Heaven where everything is beautiful and remains the same
at all time.
> Who do you think is more credible then?
None is credible.
All religions are not credible.
Religion is a crutch for the weak mind.
Religion sells miracles and life after death.
There is no miracle.
There is no life after death.

When it comes to religion, no matter how long you scrutinize religion,
the result
remains the same:
There is no heaven, no hell, no god. no miracles, no life after death.

The power of the gun is mightier than all of us.
But the science of sound is not, and the science of sound is based
upon numerology.
Are the Chinese not awakened by this sign that the opening day of the
Olympic Games in Beijing is equivalent to the number of Jesus, 888?
God loves all His creations. He created the Chinese just like He
created you and me. We all came from Him.
God must be giving sign to the Chinese to change from being atheists
to believers in God. How would they feel if their soul is
reincarnated to a Tibetan or to one who they torture and persecute?
Can God not do this? The Chinese should learn how to love their
fellow human beings. This is one of the commandments of Jesus, "That
ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one
another" (John 13:34). If only the Chinese knew Jesus and love his
fellowmen, then the Olympic Games would be peaceful. There could not
have been protests around the world.

I guess this error is a translation mistake. Often English words are
translated to Chinese words that have several meaning that are not also in
the English word.
The Britannica definition of numerology is:
"Use of numbers to interpret a person's character or divine the future. It is
based on the assertion by Pythagoras that all things can be expressed in
numerical terms because they are ultimately reducible to numbers. Using a
method analogous to that of the Greek and Hebrew alphabets (in which each
letter also represented a number), modern numerology attaches a series of
digits to an inquirer's name and uses these, along with the date of birth, to
reveal the person's true nature and prospects."
You will notice that nothing in that definition supports the view that the
science of sound is based upon numerology.
