During the last ice age, the exposed ocean floor between Siberia and North America made a perfect migration path to the New World.

The first Americans walked to the New World across a land bridge that joined Asia and North America between 70,000 and 11,000 years ago.

Take a look at this timeline, Frankie,

How Genesis is like Scientific Evolution

There was nothing, and then something (big bang)
The heavens and stars were created
       The earth was created
       Land was created
       Creatures were created
Humans created last from one pair of common ancestors

I guess thats the first time you have read about the land bridge.

Today's native americans are the children of the ones who migrated across that land bridge.

The ones who migrated across there are sometimes called, the Ice Age people. Todays Native Americans have been called, Indians,

If the Great Flood drowned everyone accept the ones in the Ark, there would be no inhabitants when Europeans discovered America.

Today's Indians decended from the Ice Age people. That connection has never been broken, not even by the Great Flood.
