On the unworthiness of priests

Following the fall of Constantinople, an ascetic while walking through the
ruins of the city came before a destroyed, desolated Church Temple and saw an
unspeakable sight: A female pig with her newborn on the Holy Prothesis (table
of Offerings)! He then started crying and sorrowing that this holy place had
been profaned. At that point an Angel of the Lord appeared saying:
“Abba, why are you weeping? Do you not know that what you have seen is more
acceptable to God than the unworthiness of the priests who used to celebrate
here?”
And the Angel vanished.
