Not stated is that there were complaints from the parents and the student
body on the plan in general and that the insurance carrier had announced,
previous to the political debate, that the premiums were going up
significantly.

As always follow the money.

I also find it curious that the Catholic Church is so concerned about the
effect of others' belief system on their faith but little is done with
regard to the long term and continuing abuse of the Catholic Clergy.

And to transfer Catholic hospitals to Church control. You atheists can go look
for a hospital if you need one if you can put off emergency care for a few weeks
or months.
