Ladies, knowledge is power. Don't allow those who call themselves
'pro-choice' to lead you into the clutches of sadists, who care
nothing about your well-being. Abortion clinics are the domain of
monsters such as Kermit Gosnell and George Tiller.

http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/cw/post.php?id=704

by Karyn Taylor

The disgusting and rotten scenes described in the grand jury report of
Dr. Kermit Gosnell's trial should not be as shocking as they are. For
the generations who have learned about the atrocities at Auschwitz, My
Lai and Phnom Pen in Cambodia, it should come as no surprise that
humans are capable of heinous, vicious crimes.

Yet, Dr. Gosnell's trial has revealed shocking details. The conditions
inside Dr. Gosnell's clinic as reported in the grand jury report are
ghastly enough to rank him with Dr. Eduard Wirths, who directed the
medical research at Auschwitz.

That only one woman died as a direct result of the man who kept
souvenirs of the abortion procedures is nothing short of miraculous.

For those women who did not die, however, they faced terrible
consequences. From the grand jury report, “Gosnell simply sent a
patient home, after keeping her mother waiting for hours, without
telling either of them that she still had fetal parts inside her.”

During a different abortion, another woman began convulsing, but
“Gosnell wouldn't call an ambulance, and wouldn't let the woman's
companion leave the building so that he could call an ambulance.” In
another, “a nineteen-year-old girl was held for several hours after
Gosnell punctured her uterus.”

In two of these situations, the women had a companion, likely willing
to advocate on their behalf. Dr. Gosnell actively prevented them from
doing so, in one case lying to the mother and in another not allowing
a friend to leave to call an ambulance. He endangered these women's
lives so he could continue mutilating and sterilizing other women.

If knowledge is power, these women were completely at his mercy. They,
and their companions, were victims because they did not feel as if
they had choices, did not know the medical procedures and risks
involved, and did not speak up for their right to sanitary conditions.

Anyone who talks about abortion policy is shouted down for being
against women's rights. What about these three women's rights? They
did not deserve the compounded filth from 17 years without inspection.
Had someone enforced the rules on the books, this man could have been
stopped decades ago.

Pro-choicers: it is time to stop being politically correct. Women's
lives are at stake. What are the conditions like in your local
abortion clinic? When was the last time they were inspected?

Pro-lifers: unite with your pro-choice sisters and brothers. This is
common ground: you both love women. To show them how much you love
each life, born and pre-born, you must work with them.

Good can be brought out of this terror. Regardless of anyone's
thoughts on abortion, we can all agree: no woman deserves to be
abandoned after a botched procedure of any kind.

Use this trial to build common ground with pro-choice friends and
family. We can all mourn the loss of life at the hands of this
monster, and demand better standards for our friends, sisters, wives
and mothers.

George Tiller was a saint.

Gosnell appears to have been a butcher. The type of butcher who turns up
when women's rights are being taken away from them by religious
fanatics. If your fellow forced-birthers have their way, women will have
no alternative except for the butchers.

(1) Don't mention George Tiller in the same breath as Kermit Gosnell.
They're nothing alike. Gosnell, if *half* the stuff written about him
is true, was indeed a monster. He was also an aberration. George
Tiller, on the other hand, was a saint who served women and who
trusted women.

(2) If the case of Gosnell proves anything, it's that we need *more*
access to legal, medically safe, early-term abortion well-regulated by
the local authorities. Gosnell's operation can be laid equally at the
feet of the local regulating agencies, who apparently did nothing to
actually *regulate* him. He'd have been shut down decades ago if that
had been the case.

(3) You're not a woman so you don't get an opinion on the availability
of abortion. Keep your nose out of other people's business.

Right, as we all know, there are roving bands of rogue doctors sneaking up
on women at night and performing abortions. And every one, no matter how
distant, ruins a Catholic's life.

Tiller was a bastard for murdering unborn human life. And now I fully expect
him to be burning in hell. He asked for it, that's for sure.

Ironic how you praise his murder, Dork. If you were truly a loving and
kind human being, you'd abhor the fact that he was murdered, and you
conveniently ignore that abortions are legal in the United States.

This is just more proof that you're an idiot, and that you have double
standards which are indefensible. It's fine that you don't agree with
abortion... but until it's declared illegal, there's nothing you can
do about it except cheer on his killers.

The legal system has evolved beyond "an eye for an eye", you moron.
Killing him is not justified in any real sense, and your pathetic
morality justification is on a par with your excuses for pedophilic
priests.

Given that your ilk works so hard to deprive women of choice, why do you
find it so outrageous now? Isn't this exactly what you have been working
for?

You could say the same thing about the fertilizer plant explosion in
Texas. They went for years in violation of multiple regulations, and,
eventually, the entire town paid the price.

If murdering unborn human life is one of the reasons someone burns in
hell, then your god should be burning in hell, since he's killed more
unborn humans than any abortion doctor.

Tiller provided a service to women that they couldn't get elsewhere,
when they desperately needed it. Sometimes a late-term pregnancy
threatens a woman's life, or the fetus is found to be nonviable
outside the women. These women need late-term abortions, and there
are precious few places where they can be obtained. We don't know how
many women's lives Tiller saved, but one thing is sure: it's more
than *you* ever have, Puke.

Wow. dukie is stating that he wants women with dead fetuses in their
womb to be forced to carry the dead until term.

dukie is stating that women with fetuses that can't survive out of the
womb should be forced to carry the dead around in their womb.

dukie is claiming that women with dead or dying fetuses that are
destroying her ability to ever conceive again should be forced to carry
the damaging fetus until term and never ever be able to have a baby
again no matter how desperately she wants one.

dukie is claiming that women whose fetus is killing them should be
forced to commit suicide.

George Tiller was a saint who saved many women from death and anguish.

A bit more background for you, Dreamer:

Dook has been braced countless times in the past about
how his god could allow such gut-wrenchingly horrible
mass exterimnations as the Boxing Day tsunami, or many-
ton concrete blocks being dropped on young Haitian
children. Those, and many others. Such as the horrible
building collapse in Pakistan today. How could Dook's
god allow such things?

Dook's inevitable response has been something along the
lines of "Hey, everybody dies sometime. Didn't you
know that? You heard it here first".

His flippancy doesn't appear to extend to the aborted.

It's also been pointed out to Dook that his god is The
Great Abortionist, as only 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 human
blastulas -- or what Dook thinks of as "persons" --
only a fraction actually survive to be born, all this
perfectly naturally, right here in his god's own world.

If he has ever addressed that, I do not recall it.

He is indeed very selective with his rhetoric. However, I will admit
to something good coming out of all of this... I've never been more
inspired to make sure I have my facts straight before talking.

Having conversations like this is the mental equivalent of
calisthenics. I was really getting down on myself before I came here,

myself for saying this, I might have to thank Dork for the impetus
he's provided.

It's not ironic at all.

He's been praising all the murders perpetrated by the RCC for the past
2000 years.

He has too.

He can't condemn them without condemning the RCC.

And, all the murders perpetrated by heads of state, because Paul wrote
that all civil authorities were established by God.

And, all the murders perpetrated by their underlings, who were just
following orders, as Paul wrote that they should.

The amount of blood theists like Dook have on their hands will douse
the fires of hell when they get there.

Why would he need to address it at all?

After all, his attitude is perfectly in tune with the book
on which he bases his beliefs. "Flippancy" is a good term
to describe the tone in which large tracts of the bible deal
with murder, cruelty, genocide and all manner of charming
human customs. Given this sort of fertiliser, is it any
wonder that Dukie's mushroom mind should have turned out as
amusingly psychogenic as it has?

Wow, I call him a bastard and suggest he's burning in hell. I guess, to a grik,
that's a praise. You griks must be really low on the food chain.

You must be highly uneducated. God never promised us a rose garden in this
life. God allows us to die, 100% guaranteed, and allows us to experience all
the nasty things earth and man can throw at us.

You and I are called to learn to love God and love our fellow man. And thus
show we are qualified to be awarded the kingdom of God.

You fail.

>His flippancy doesn't appear to extend to the aborted.

You can flip it any way and as many times as you wish, but you too will
experience the hell and heaven of human life and then die. At that point, you
will be judged.

You can't escape.

His killer is just another theist with blood on his hands.

They weren't murdered by Biblical law.

Where are you getting this murder stuff, except that you don't like

On the other hand, Tiller was murdered, Dook.

It's clear by our law and it's clear by Biblical law.

You mean the women who were so desperate to have that child and then

You just aren't understanding right. According to duke, "Thou shalt not
kill" applies to microscopic clumps of pre-born tissue, but *doesn't*
apply to Caananites, Hittites, Amorites, the entire population of the
world except Noah and his family, all the first born of Egypt, etc, etc.
You must need new batteries in you cognitive dissonance filter.

What you see in that last is as great an expression of
empathy Duke has ever shown on this group when grieving

Tell that to any rape victim, "duke".
You don't know decent from a shit hole in the ground, "duke".
Neither you nor the Pope's sock puppet have anything to say about any
woman's sex life, nor do they have anything to say about contraception,
sterilization, or abortion. Tell the Pope to take his sock puppet and
shove it up his own ass, where it belongs.
Stop lying about abortion, "duke", you know full well no baby is
involved in any abortion. Keep your fucking hands off our normal,
decent, wholesome abortions, "duke". And, try to keep your lips
together, put an aspirin between them if you have to. Every time you

You mean according to the Pope's sock puppet. A puppet, not even the

However, we the people find Dr. Tiller to be a true Saint for saving

Fair enough. The same fate awaits everything from mayflies to redwoods.
The only thing that makes it tragic is a purely selfish thought that
you must fall silent while life goes on and on without you. Instead of
brooding on that, I try to make things better for the people around me
today, out of gratitude for the blessing of standing on the shoulders of
people who felt the same way and came before me.

I think I'm going to take a contrary position on this one, NBL.

I think Dork knows he's got a problem with his stance, and I think
he's scared to death. Why else would he spend more than a decade in an
atheist newsgroup, thumping his chest? That kind of insecurity has to
come from something deep-seated....

It's kind of like the classic macho high school jock turning out to be
more than a little in favor of homosexuality... deny, deny, deny, and
there you have it.

Besides, he's already come right out (forgive the unintentional pun)
and "nailed my ass", "got my butt" and mumbled something about my
testicles, so I've got evidence to back up that kind of claim.

Facetiousness aside, I really am fascinated by him in the same kind of
way that I'm fascinated with fat hairy spiders. There's something
almost unbelievably weird about the way he just BELIEVES and the pride
with which he trumpets his lack of morals is something I thought was
only possible in bad tv.

He knows he's wrong, and he keeps trolling because it feeds his vanity
and his ego to pretend that he can discuss things properly. I'm fine
with that... what I don't get is that single-minded burning need to
have the last word.

Ah well. I'm having fun poking the troll and talking to smart people
and learning stuff. It really doesn't get better than that.

Baramin. Damn... who knew?

One day, when I win the lottery, I'm going to take a bunch of money
and fly the good guys to someplace like Fiji. We'll spend a weekend
worshipping the sun, and enjoying the life we've got, and spend
absolutely no time worrying about the afterlife...

The only restriction I'll place is that everybody's going to have to
chant "Prove electricity" before they get to have a drink.

Cheers,

You just redeemed yourself after that Baramin fiasco.

This is exactly why I'm an atheist. Because life right here and right
now is worth celebrating. Because time is limited. Because raging at
the dying of the light is important.

What you say is also why I believe in God. All we have is now; death is
inevitable; and we should hate the encroaching darkness.

The difference is that I desire to celebrate not only this now but also
the Eternal Now. Darkness will have its hour, but the Light has a Day
that lasts forever, without beginning or end. This doesn't mean putting
off the best things until after death, in fact after death it will be
too late to grasp for them. Grasp for them now, and hold them for
eternity; but for this very reason, *what* or *who* you grasp at here
and now has epic significance.

I think you understand the religious temperament better than you know.
But at the same time, you still have no idea what it is.

That reminds me of something Christopher Hitchens said, as he was
contemplating his inevitable death from cancer.

"It will happen to all of us, that at some point you get tapped on the
shoulder and told, not just that "The party is over", but slightly
worse: "The party is going on - but you have to leave - it's going on
without you".

That's the reflection that I think most upsets people about their
demise.

All right, then, because it might make us feel better, let's pretend
the opposite. Instead, you'll get tapped on the shoulder and told,
"Great news! This party is going on forever and you can't leave.
You've got to stay; the boss says so.

And, he also insists that you have a good time."

I checked the batteries and they're fine.

Apparently, it's been overloading and shorting out when ever I read
Dook's explanations as to why it's a Godly act/terrible sin to
slaughter people, depending on which part of the Bible he's
referencing in any given reply.

I complained to the manufacturer, but they voided my warranty after
reading one of Dook's posts, claiming I should be using the industrial
model that they designed for the House Republicans.

They did offer a discount on the upgrade, but it would never fit on my
40 acre plot and there's too much red tape involved with the
quad-tower nuclear plant required to power it.

Sigh...

Why?
This "encroaching darkness" is part of Life. Without it,
nothing would exist. And for us short-lived apes, it is
what provides the spice, the impetus, the drive that makes
our lives worthwhile. It is what makes us strive, what gets
us to plant a tree today even though the world may end
tomorrow. This is not something to be feared and hated, it
is to be accepted and embraced.

Indeed, some accounts I've read indicate that a fair number of women
attended Gosnell's clinic rather than face the protesters outside more
well known clinics. It makes me wonder what these protesters, whom
according to Jason are peaceful, were saying and doing outside those
clinics to drive women into the clutches of Gosnell.

I heard the same thing!!!

They claim it was developed for the Bush administration by DARPA for
use in the run up to the Iraq War.

When I talked to the tech at ACME C.D.F. Ltd, when he got done
laughing at me for using the consumer model for Dook, confided that he
was skeptical that even their most powerful unit, the 4000 mw model,
would be strong enough.

He also said that they weren't considering even researching a more
powerful one. They'd be in violation of about dozen international
weapons treaties, some dating all the way back the Hague Convention.

It would be almost impossible to convince the U.N. inspectors that
such a powerful unit was necessary for civilian use and that it wasn't
really intended for some rogue regime for military purposes.

So, it looks like we're out of luck unless there's a big shift in
international law or the government declassifies what they have, if
anything.

Here in Dayton, two abortion murder clinics have been closed.
Just one left.

A most excellent point! Also, if you ever find out, let everyone know
how Dr. Gosnell kept the loons away from his clinic. Did he hire leg
breakers to keep the pro-liar loons away? The very thought of some
forced-birther having a hot poker shoved into his mouth for screaming

tickles me pink!!!!!! Perhaps the mob has a useful social purpose after

The abortions will continue in Dayton, in "Gosnell clinics" located in
dark, hidden places for the poor. Rich women will go to New York and
have their abortions in comfort and convenience. Perhaps a black market
for RU-486 to be taken without supervision will develop.
The sick, degenerate loons that pray outside of decent abortion clinics
should have gasoline poured on them, and a match struck. I'm sure some
motor cycle gang would do the job for a reasonable fee.
I wonder if that's how Dr. Gosnell kept the forced-birther loons away.

Merely praying wouldn't scare people away from the clinics.

Haven't you read about some of the things some alleged pro-lifers have
done?

Vandalism, fire-bombings, physical assaults, murder, harassment of
staff and clients.

If I recall correctly such behaviour doesn't come under the label of
praying, more like "preying".

> Here in Dayton, two abortion murder clinics have been closed.

And because they've been closed down.

Women have to travel further for their needed abortions.

Others die through complications in delivery or pregnancy.

Ergo in some cases two lives are lost instead of one.

BTW, abortion isn't murder.

Why?

Because it is legal according to the law of your country.

So you and your ilk are actually going against the law.

How does it feel to be a law breaker?

Third-grade playground swagger. Look at what a hardass
bad-boy I am.

Plus, I suspect, you're also seeing a bit of the
peasant mentality in action there.

You forget third grade: whoever gets in the last word,
no matter how embarrassing, "wins". And like third
graders, his retorts aren't exactly rapier-like. Often
as not he seizes on some word in what you just said and
then emits some bizarre free-association that isn't
merely askew to what you just said, it's positively
orthogonal to it.

Which also, of course, frees him of the burden of
trying to actually deal, logically and honestly, with
your points.

And above all: he's gotten attention. That's his
ultimate "win".

;

And as you mentioned before, it's good mental exercise.
Eventually you end up simply trying to write well, for
your own amusement and for that of the spectators.
Practice does make better, at least.

;

I in fact had heard of that before, but like
"hydrodynamic sorting" and other bizarre Creationist
contortions, it's not exactly something that makes a
light come on in your mind.

Perhaps males should be castrated. But, you have a point. Perhaps we

Sterilization on demand might help too.
By the way, you don't get to dictate other people's sex lives. Not even

I don't care what you and yer buddies do.
I do care though when you make me pay for your bad decisions.

According to the degenerate and immoral creepster.

Do the taxpayers have to pay for this?

What babies?????

The convenience of any woman is much more important than the rights of
any demonstrator. Abortion is beautiful. Catholic Dogma stinks like
dog turds. Abortion, good. Priest, bad. Pope, very bad.

Well, they're real life Saints, who ever they are.

Sluts have a higher moral standard that any priest or the Pope. Long
live our wonderful sluts!

You force everyone to pay huge tax bills that come with child birth,
when a cheap abortion would save everyone plenty! I shouldn't have to
pay for the degenerate thoughts of the Pope.

At the moment, no. But give it time, someday the public will be only
too happy to cover every abortion on demand. It's much cheaper than
child birth in a dozen different ways.

Yes, thanks to a lot of unwanted children.

What babies? No baby is involved in any abortion.
> The inconvenienced sluts are.
The convenience of any woman is a million times more important than
Catholic Dogma or what the Pope wants.
Abortion is beautiful!

Whatever the name of the clinic, the operators are living Saints!

Perhaps the turd Pope should keep his nose out of women's business?

Bull shit, you want to force everyone to obey your sick, degenerate
religion.
> I do care though when you make me pay for your bad decisions.
And I don't like having to pay huge amounts of welfare when a cheap
abortion costs a lot less. We need many more abortions in this country.

Doesn't the taxpayer wish! It'd cost a fraction of what welfare and
other social costs take from all of us. Abortion is so beautiful, and
economical!
