Hello,

Over twenty thousand years ago Chinese people in central and northern
China were supposedly the first to achieve a racial solidarity and a
large-scale cultural, social, and political civilization, due in part
to millions of people speaking just one language. Somewhere after ten
to twelve thousand years ago manufacturing began, eventually included
paper money, magnetic compass, seismograph, oldest calendar, the sail,
armor for horses, saddles, glass, ceramics, iron plow, rotary winnowing
fan, cast iron, crank handle, deep drilling for natural gas, egg
noodles, water power, chain pump, suspension bridge, gunpowder and
different chemicals for explosions to shape and color fireworks,
rockets, cannon, and the segmental arch bridge.

Some antiseptically cleaned western culture may be surprised to learn
that Chinese tradition of worshipping used to include eating their dead
to ingest the best qualities of another (e.g., intelligence, ability to
have great offspring) and protecting souls of ancestors from evil
stuff, etc. Failure to participate in the "family" meal was considered
to be distasteful!

Chinese worship is now of course second to none. Chinese have also been
credited with inventing many other things too, such as the chain drive,
wheelbarrow, fishing reel, stirrup, umbrella, playing cards,
spinning-wheel, thyroid hormone use, decimal system, negative numbers,
kite, rudder, tuned drums, crossbow. If it had not been for slow
spiritual progress long ago, and/or their mountain barriers I wonder,
would Chinese eventually dominated the world scene?
