Question About Pastor Danny Bond

My apologies if this question has been addressed here previously.

I've attended Pacific Hills Church (PHC) in Aliso Viejo, CA, off and
on, for the past 14 years. After a lengthy absence I returned recently
to find that Dave Rolph (former Assistant Pastor of CCCM) has replaced
Danny Bond as Senior Pastor of PHC. No one with whom I spoke (member
or staff) was willing to give me an explanation for Danny's departure,
aside from saying he'd left the church voluntarily and was now (or
soon would be) living in Chicago. Also, his daily radio show was
summarily removed from KWVE -- again with no satisfactory explanation.

I find it hard to believe a pastor as dedicated and well-loved as
Danny would leave Calvary without so much as a word from PHC or CCCM.
Further, I can't find any contact information for Danny on any Calvary
web site, and no one seems to want to talk about any of it.

I loved him dearly and would just like to know what happened (without
gossip or personal information being revealed), but he seems to have
been forgotten--swept under the rug--by Calvary. The man started PHC
from a small home Bible study in the 80s, and it's distressing that
he's now an afterthought, someone to be forgotten.

Does anyone know anything about the circumstances surrounding Danny's
departure from Calvary, and what he's doing now?

I had the same question. When I emailed the church, they told me that
they would forward my message to a pastor (several months ago) who
never responded. I actually found out from someone who goes to Pacific
Hills that happened to be attending CCCM that particular night for Jon
Coursons study. Someone had asked this person what happened and her
answer was to the effect of family problems, which is what PH told me
in an email. I don't want to repeat what she said lest it be gossip,
although I too was rather upset that they were so secretive about it.
The church asked me to pray for him, and I have. Many of Danny's
studies are still posted on the CCCM website in the Library area if
you are interested in listening to his teachings.

Would you care to share why you were away for a lengthy absence? ;)

Trying to look for Pastor Danny Bond online. I listened to him in the early 90s in Kenya, my home. I now live in Hawaii and would love to know his whereabouts and how I can visit his work. To me he's one of the most seasoned Bible teachers I ever heard.
