For an interesting example of the "one-man-show" form of church government
gone awry, read this story:

http://www.jsonline.com/news/Metro/980808pastorsquickexitmissi.stm

(BTW, it's not the Pastor Larry Taylor formerly of Calvary Chapel).

It is sad when we have a trash bag that will quote the BIBLE out of one
side of his mouth and then run as fast as he can to hurt someone with
the other side of his mouth. you almost steped in it this time...

LUKE 23:34 Then JESUS said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not
know what they do"

I guess the same could be said about the senior pastor of CCCM who attacked
Doug G from the pulpit one Thursday night.

Tape No. Date Description

3635 5-15-97 James 5:9 Senior Pastor CCCM attacks Doug Gilliland
by name twice plus several other direct references.

Pastor Larry Taylor? Judging from that story, I'd say he did a pretty
damn good job of hurting the flock entrusted to him.

You mean, Larry Taylor? Or the congregation? I'd say that anyone who
gives money to a ministry without knowing where it is going or how it is
to be used -- or would defend those who evade accountability -- has
blood on his hands.

Where there is no accountability, funds end up missing. Hey, if it's
O.K. for TBN....

And I would sincerely hope that this guy is not the "Pastor Ray" who
does a syndicated radio show out of Dallas. When I talked to him, he
seemed to have a lot more sense than that....

I'm new to this group. Could someone tell me what happened to Pastor Larry
Taylor from CC? He was a guest speaker at my church just before he went to
the CC Bible College. I'm wondering where he is now and if he's still
involved with Calvary Chapel.

Thanks.

Welcome. At one point this was described as a cesspool, but since certain
elements have left, the place has improved dramatically.

Sure. Larry did his time at the Bible College and was thrown away when he
became inconvenient.

Last check he was at a church in Hawaii, and NO it was not a Calvary Chapel.
Taylor went from being a Chuck Smith defender to a person who will not
comment publicly about his record at CCCM. Friends report that he felt he
was abused by Chuck Smith and that the move to Murietta was the final straw
in the long relationship.

I hear that Calvary Chapel singles groups have orgies on their retreats.

Mike,

There are certain personalities in this group who are here to deceive. I
won't go into details at this time, but I suggest that you pray for them. If
you want, I've compiled a lot of messages from a certain individual that
show a history of psychosis that I could e-mail you. Demon possession is
real. If only certain people would come to recognize this.

Hello...I was a volunteer in the offices at colo.springs calvary chapel on Nevada ave.larry taylor was pastor..Daily he and his secretary were arm in arm. Soon he made an announcement at the pupit that he 'never' loved his wife...of course he had children with her though..he was now resigning from the church..soon after his 12yr old son committed suicide..the 'church" was scattered..his wife was shattered but this pride-filled jerk moves on..with the secretary!now as his wife..He's not safe.
