>What's required to become a Christian?
>
>If you believe that:
>* The God of the Bible is the one true God
>* Jesus Christ is Lord - the Son of God, fully human
>and fully divine
>* Christ died for your sins and was resurrected
>and you are willing to:
>* Repent of your sins
>* Accept Christ's payment for your sins
>* Love and obey God
>then you are ready to become a Christian.

>How do I become a Christian?
>All you need to do is to pray something like this: "Lord Jesus, I
>know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You
>died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come
>into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and
>Savior, Amen."
the gospel of " something like this " is nothing more than salvation by the will of man.
Fundamentalists avoid Jn. 1:13. they avoid Ro. 10:20. they pervert Jn. 3:3 where it is
said plainly that first, man is born from above, then and only then does he understand the
gospel.
Acts 13:48 says it most directly... first, one is given life ( since he is dead in sin )
then and only then does believing in Jesus Christ unto salvation take place.
getting the glory for the doing is the Fundamentalists top priority.
>What do I do now?
>Contact other Christians in your area. If you have a friend who is
>a devout Christian (perhaps they've been talking to you about
>Christianity), get in touch with them and tell them about your decision.
" decision " ? saved by the good work of decision making all the while none seek for
God... pretty neat plan of salvation... just do enough good works and save yourself... the
gospel for the smart only... the gospel of co-redemption. my decision plus Christs
sacrifice equal salvation.
>Also, feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you have
>(or just let me know that you became a Christian).
>One important thing to do is to be baptized, as an outward symbol
>of your choosing to follow Jesus Christ. (See Mt 28:18-20, Acts 2:38,
>10:47-48.)
another magic word used by the co-redeemer's... " your choosing. " the good work of your
choosing smartly done saves while all those not as smart can not be saved; such as babies
dying at birth, aborted fetuses, the mentally impaired.
thanks be to God in Christ that He is found by those who did not seek for Him. Ro.10:20
>Another important thing you should do is find a healthy church in
>your area.
indeed, a ' healthy church ' is one which promotes the co-redemption gospel of decision
making for the forgiveness of sin.
>A healthy church is focused on God, is welcoming to
>newcomers, and has a growing congregation, not a stagnant one.
>Check the statement of faith and make sure they believe in the
>deity of Christ and the Bible as the infallible word of God.

>John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten
>Son, so that whosoever believes in Him, will not perish, but have
>everlasting life".
Jn. 3:16... the most perverted passage in all of Holy Scripture. somehow, the
co-redeemer's see this verse as something they do for God to invoke Him to save. as this
fellow puts it, as he redefines God's Word of " believes " into " decision making " and
" your choosing " so the boast of having smartly done a good work in order to be saved by
co-redemption can be promoted in his life.
only those who's names He's written in the Lamb's Book of Life will ever be given life so
to believe in Jesus Christ unto salvation by His good work of giving life and faith to His
elect... bestowed " freely " ( Eph. 1:6 ) since " salvation belongs to the Lord " ( Ps.
3:8 ) and is definitely not a co-operation where man gives God permission to save.
