[Keep in mind when reading chapter two of the Lotus Sutra, that it is
the core of the "theoretical" first half of the Lotus Sutra. As such,
it expresses theoretical ichinen sanzen, the theoretical wisdom of the
Lotus Sutra.

When you read this section it can raise in your mind the provisional
view of Buddhism, that enlightenment is attained through worshipping
statues or various practices over many lifetimes, which is incorrect
for this time. In fact, the one and only way to attain the
enlightenment related to the Lotus, is the practice of the Lotus
Sutra, which in the latter day of the Law is chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-
Kyo.]

If there are persons who for the sake of the Buddha
fashion and set up images,
carving them with many distinguishing characteristics,
then all have attained the Buddha way.
Or if they make things out of the seven kinds of gems,
of copper, red or white copper,
pewter, lead, tin
iron wood, or clay,
or use cloth soaked in lacquer or resin
to adorn and fashion Buddha images,
then persons such as these have all attained the Buddha way.
If they employ pigments to paint Buddha images,
endowing them with the characteristics of hundredfold merit,
if they make them themselves or have others make them,
then all have attained the Buddha way.
Even if little boys in play
should use a piece of grass or wood or a brush,
or perhaps a fingernail
to draw an image of the Buddha,
such persons as these
bit by bit will pile up merit
and will become fully endowed with a mind of
great compassion;
they all have attained the Buddha way.

I find various errors of interpretation and transmission. They say a
lie gets halfway around the world.

The major issue(s) are the misunderstanding of heart and void and the
location of these in the human body. For one, the chinese character
XIN depicts the pericardium which *is* the physical heart.

According to the chinese, the feeling heart is not the thinking heart
(Yi). Xing means literally Gestalt. Something that is often missing
in today "instruction" in asian culture. Western eyes or those in
spirit ie. Japanese/South koreans, have injected a very strong
formalist agenda upon things.

The ancient chinese were not formalists, they were animists.
Confucious was an animist if anything. ConfucianISM and Confucious
did or practiced are radically different. Animism is dualistic-
mysticism very similar to dualistic-realism. Dharma for the record
means Punishment.

Veda is the source of all dharma, dharma is veda. Veda is natural
law. The law that trancends the layers of causation. This by no
stretch is dualistic-realist viewpoint or dualistic-realism. For
example: Nature does not nurture.

This has nothing to do with love. It has to do with the internal
mechanisms and dynamics of an individual a cultivated SENTIENT
individual. This does not imply that all humanoid animals are
cultivated. Animals are not sentient for reasons we wont go into.
They lack the ability to go inward, the dimension of awareness of
inwardness is the movement in the 4th dimension.

The entry into the 4th dimension is in the pit of a mans stomach,
where he feels most vulneruable. This would be proximal to the seat
of the digestive fire Pitta attributed to Agni the god of fire. Hence
the significance of the Goma or Homa sacrifice.

Near here we have the chinese spleen which would be physically the
enteric nervous system and the body consciousness or Pan. This is the
source of the Zhongqi and Zhong means middle. We are not yin or yang
here. We are in the magnetic nuetral of the body, the "center of
gravity" is the pit of the stomach the seat of Samana.

Saman* is the root word of Samanta and Samathya, ect. We can
understand the significance here. This is the seat of the "heart" in
the "belly". Not in the upper chest and not in the lower abdomen. I

There is a chinese scholar that said it well describing the "void" as
a knot hole drilled in fence. Whats inside a soap bubble? Air.
Whats in the middle of a donut? Nothing. All things are connected by
a neutral center. This really has nothing to do with love or some
psudeo-philisophical mumbo jumbo.

You can just as easily replace buddha with simulacrum. The immortal
fetus is basically that. In the bardo experience after death this is
essentially using the simulacra as a vehicle to travel through what is
talked about in the tibetain book of the dead.

The chinese say when we take love and project it outside ourself to
another person or object, that is a deviation. It seems very much so
indeed. It is interesting that the japanese using concepts from Tien
tai to protect their island.

You could/can never take korean or japanese culture that seriously.
But I also learned that the tantric alphabet influenced their writing
systems. That explains it. That explains a whole lot of things. All
this mumbo jumbo is based on esoteric mystical buddhism. Not the kind
most westerners are familiar with. Like that silly northern
vietnamese buddhism.

Anyways, this void does seem to be a problem for some but its not the
real void. Its just a form of disassociation. The trope of the lotus
seems to be the major factor. The hindus called Gautama "Lotus" as a
slur. The lotus world refers to the red lotus (brought to the level
of the throat as in mongolian qigong) of the root chakra. The lotus
the egyptians worshipped wasnt even a lotus it was a lily. A WATER
lily. A blue water lily.

The lotus that jesus refered to in the new testament came invariably
from his contact with buddhists in tibet. "Consider the lilys for
they toil not". Its an approximation of "embracing the void". There
is an interesting mythos around that as well but you can do your own
research on it. Something about a glowing worm and jesus name meaning
grapes.

Somehow this gets mixed up with the 2nd chakra. This again is
strongly based on exposure/infection to tibetain ideas from tummo.
Because the 2nd chakra is where the wind enters the thrusting
channel. Imagine a bamboo flute with a hole at the bottom. If you
blow air across this hole it makes a sound. This sensation in the
abdomen gives someone something to focus on.

But the dhyana mudra otherwise known as lotus palms used in zen
meditation is meant to be used in that manner because placing the
hands in the lap creates a circuit that pulls the energy into that
point in the body. It produces a tractor beam if you will pulling in
the periphery. The mental focus should actually be on zhongding or
central equalibrium higher up in the abdomen (belly).

This is where samana prana is located. This is the true void. This
emphasis on the 2nd chakra is plain wrong. Zen has indeed infected
pretty much everything it has touched. But so has western
materialism, and christianity. In china they jail people for talking
about "political issues".

But all issues, political or otherwise are psychological. Political,
economic and social determinism (political science, economism and
sociology) are all one of the same just different magnitudes and are
all rooted in judeo-christian ethic. Hence the name.

Ethics comes from the greek word for habits. Judeo-christian ethic
means political issues, social issues, economic issues, ect. It
doesnt have anything to do with anything. Is like talking about
sports or the weather or gossip about the town whore. Its nonsense.

The so-called emptyness of buddhism is soley based on the location and
function of SAMANA PRANA not some /idea/ of void (self-isolation). In
chinese medicine lily seeds (foxnuts) are used to seperate the jing
and move it back into the chongmail. The jing is semen, essence. We
could mix this idea in with the blood and semen themes in tantra, but
its simply what it is.

Lotus nuts astringe the essence but are not to be used in kidney
deficiency (where the essence cannot be retained to be astringed) its
also considered higher level because it "communicates the jing with
the shen". Which again could be used in metaphorical or alchemical
terms.

You quote from many distorted Chinese and other texts, but the truth
remains, and you actually are aware of it, in spite of appearances to
the contrary.

The Buddha, whose teachings and practices have been distorted by many
(including yourself) into a basis for the martial arts, theory and
techniques ... did not in any way give credence to, practice or
support the martial arts.

No rational person will be able to find a credible historian or
historical source that cites the Buddha's teachings as support for a
method of killing or making war.

Making the opposite point, no rational Buddhist thinker would be able
to misconstrue the intent of Shakyamuni, who was the Bodhisattva Never
Disparaging in a previous existence, to do anything other than uplift
the lot of ordinary human beings in this world.

Speaking in any way in opposition to this point is speech that
emanates from the devilish function, the function of evil whose intent
is to destroy Buddhism and the legacy of Shakyamuni, T'ien-T'ai and
finally Nichiren Daishonin.
