A soul alignment occurs when two souls are aligned so
they effectively become one soul.

So to say that someone is an avatar of Vishnu means
(to me) that that someone and Vishnu share the same
soul but have different minds and bodies.

Do you know of any living human(s) who are said to
be avatars (not necessarily of Vishnu)?

There is at least one way
in which I may, and do, often say
a knowing exists wear souls are clothed,
aye, as an eye of a whirl in a river
flowing full of energy whose centre
is a form of emptiness and
at the same time empty of form.

Aye, as an eye of a hurricane, a cyclone,
whose wall, once passed in to, is found
to be full of peace, clear, open to the sky.

Being a location, this point of a soul, of being,
is without dimension, has no length, no width,
nor depth, yet is, can be found, located, as a point.

Found, as a point, a location, using a grid, each soul
is differentiated from all else, on the grid, by using
the grid. And yet, in this knowing, a soul is
not other than the grid, not other than all else,
except for the point of its location.

In this sense, if it makes any sense, each soul
is an avatar of the grid, an avatar of ALL, and,
when sensed as such, shares an alignment.
The soul of ALL is the soul of each soul.
It's the same point, located as a point
of being the same in ALL
respects.

When seeing how two, or many, can be the same
there is then a potential for an effective alignment.

When seeing how two, or many, are not the same
there is then a potential for an effect of being
such that no alignment takes place
at that point.

Given a river of energy, flowing,
a whirl may appear at a particular point,
persist for a spell, then be subsumed in the flowing.

At another time, a whirl may appear
once again at the same point, persist, for a spell,
and then, once more, be subsumed in the flowing.

This may occur over and over.
One may say it is the same whirl
if one so sees the whirl as such.

Now there may be times
when the whirl does not stay in one place
but travels down-stream, and then is subsumed
in the flowing of the river.

Then, it reappears where it once began
and appears to move down-stream, again,
for a spell, until it vanishes, again, in the river.

Some may say it is the same whirl,
reincarnating, over and over. They may see
how this situation can be said to be the case.

Some may wonder
if the whirl is anything
other than the river.

Many whirls, appearing, disappearing,
reappearing in the same or different points,
locations, locations, locations, of the whirls,
of the river, of the flowing, of energy.

Views vary.
Senses vary.
Many variables.

Found within
a river of words
there can be an empty
place where light passes
through a lens, known as
a pupil, it may dilate or contract,
open or shut down what flows,
and, usually, there is a lid.

Often, I know,
there is a blink.

At times a wink.
Of those whose nose
is not cut off from what
one knows to be
a sense.

Of a river, of energy,
of a whirl, of an eye,
of a square root
of a, minus one.

perhaps before moksha your turyia state of consciousness is the soul,
and the waking state, dream state, dreamless state experience avatar
until you reach moksha and then your turyia state is permanent and the
other states combine into it

From the wiki:

"... It is all peace, all bliss and nondual. This is what is known as
the Fourth (Turiya). This is Atman and this has to be realized.

Turiya is not a state. It is the background on which dream and wake
arises and disappears. ..." [ - Mandukya Upanishad]

"In the fourth state of consciousness, turiya, the mind is not simply
withdrawn from the objects, but becomes one with Brahman."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turiya

Lots of good material there
for spiritual thoughts that may matter.

Thanks!

i'm not sure how my experience fits into this perspective but i identify
it with turiya in many respects, yet bliss didn't seem to have as much
significance as they say ...perfect calm, indifference maybe... but bliss
or ecstasy was, for me, the experience immediately preceding turiya and
appears to belong more to the subtle / dream state than turiya itself....

the bliss was felt in the release of a dream state self into the unknown
which was conceived as a void or nothingness and i identify with a state
of deep dreamless sleep, but in this case approached consciously from my
dreaming subtle state rather than skipping from one state to another. in
my experience i never succeeded in releasing myself entirely into a void
but instead suddenly switched to pure witnessing beyond my self and void
realizing witnessing existed as the ground of experience the whole time..
rather than a state of bliss i would associate it to a state of soberness.

nonetheless i didn't experience the complete process of relinquishing ego
to pure witnessing so i probably do not know the full story. the self i'd
just been experiencing blissful release into a "void" with returned in a
state of fear and terror while the pure witness still dominated awareness
and i / it seemed to feel that it was trapped within awareness for awhile.

i have experienced the same fear many times without reaching the pure
witness but in this case it appeared to come afterward and the bliss was
experienced prior to the pure witness instead.

fear is probably more warranted, imo, but i don't think either are turiya.

That is linkage, not alignment.

It's still the same.
We are all aligned, linked, non-separate, joined, of one heart, of one
mind, of one body, etc.

There is no duality, only oneness.
Obscured views, as I understand it, make us think there are separate
individuals.

A good question to ask yourself is, "What makes me, me and you,
you?"
If you really try to answer that, from a Tibetan Buddhist point of
view, you'd probably get some interesting answers.
I'll start a topic on this one.

If you want a scientific view on linkage, soul mates, etc.
Sociobiology, may be of help.

Sociobiology investigates social behaviors, such as mating patterns,
territorial fights, pack hunting, and the hive society of social
insects. It argues that just as selection pressure led to animals
evolving useful ways of interacting with the natural environment, it
led to the genetic evolution of advantageous social behavior.

If you want an energetic or new age advice, I'd want to know exactly
what you are trying to find/get/experience.
To give you advanced advice, if you are not prepared, and only playing
at being energy knowledgeable or want a fun party, could harm you or
worse, if you tried to follow it.

Want a quick, safe way to feel energy
linkage.

Have a person lie on the floor with a person of the opposite sex at
their head (and feet if possible), with two more (more if they fit) on
each side (either sex).
Begin by having people touch the person lying down, lightly and
randomly all over their front side.
Then gradually, pick up the pace of the touches, until everyone is
touching using both hands, touching firmly and quickly.
At least three people must touch the person lying down, at all times.
Do this for about five minutes.
Then suddenly stop.
The other people's energy will mix and can be felt by the person who
is lying down.
This can be felt by, almost, everyone and it's a lot of fun at
parties, if they are your good friends.

This effect can last for up to 10 minutes or so, if the person is
sensitive to energy.
A slight variant of this, can be used to help a person get well
quicker.

* Do NOT use a person who is mentally unstable, depressed, unhappy,
etc. * NEVER *
You want the person lying down to have a positive experience.
