Angels part of TV pop culture

I don't recall hearing so much about angels since about the middle of
this decade. I have to wonder to what extent television has played a
role in popularizing the angel craze.

Can I recommend the appalingly disrespectful but certainly very funny "Good
Omens" by Terry Pratchett (he of "Discworld") and Neil Gaiman (he of the
"Sandman" comics)? The book agrees well with my notion of angelic humour -
I would be interested to hear what Derek says. Derek, are you listening?
Have you read it?
