While I do not speak for Archbishop James, I observe that he
carries a three point visible pistol in which he is trained.

I would guess that physical factor is a precaution should head
case Tony Begonja and his pals make personal contact.

I also understand to expect in response to Begonja's continued
illegal activities some litigious developments, so stay tuned.

I don't like guns. I know how to use a rifle self-defense, but
I will not allow a pistol of any kind in my home, although Jack has an
airgun he would like to shoot cats with.

It's funny as hell to watch y'all that have never been shot at talk
about the best guns for a gunfight.
If you might need 2 clips to get out of something, learn to fire your
gun while running backwards.
No shit.

Speaking of the Bishop, he sent me an email about a month ago asking

for a recommendation for what type of pistol I thought he should pack.
I would have liked to have recommended the Colt 45 auto, which is a
good one, but I had to go with a Glock, considering that Glocks never
jam--an important consideration if you're picking a gun you might have
to use in a gunfight.

Lots of guns are real showy, like the Colts and the Berrettas, but if
you're thinking you might actually rock and roll, Glock is the only
way to fly.

>I would guess that physical factor is a precaution should head
>case Tony Begonja and his pals make personal contact.

If one is good, two is better.

It never hurts to have two pistols, since all you need for shooting a
pistol is one hand. By the time you emptied two clips of 9 mm Glock
into it, whatever it was--it ain't only deader than a doornail, it's
also kind of hard to come up with an identification.

I only mess around with small caliber arms myself, and today I went
and looked at a .22 ruger auto that you can put a 30 shot clip on.

So, damian, were you of voting age during the Vietnam era?

No, I've never been shot at. But it only figures that a Glock is what
you want if you think you might get in a gunfight.

Wouldn't you feel like a dumbass if you were in some gunfight with a
Colt 45 auto and it jammed on you? Unless you had an extra gun on
you, I guess you'd have to take off running and hope and pray your ass
didn't get hit.

Sounds like you been watching a little TV.

What would you do on this one? Run backwards and shoot at cans of
soup?

No, I use a revolver. Any more than 6 shots and I'm outta there.
I kinda like breathing.

Gunfights, dude, gunfights. If you need all them bullets, you need to
learn to run and shoot over your shoulder.

And Glocks by design are impossible to jam.

Yeah, but somebody with a Glock could reel off 17 shots in the time it

took you to get off six from a revolver.

This ain't the wild, wild west no more.

Revolvers are outdated.

I've had guns pulled on me, but never shot at.

Were you running backwards and returning fire when they were shooting
at you?

As far as the number of bullets, I'd just hate to be in some situation
where you ran out of bullets like you see on TV all the time. That's
one thing I like about the Glock: It holds 17 shots. If you've had
to return fire while running backwards, once you get to cover, you've
still got bullets.

Never used one clean. Not on a human anyway. But then, if I lived in

That wasn't a big concern. Running faster was.

the only time I was face to face with a hostile gun
( two guns actually )
I had almost 6 months clean ,
( memorial day , 1989 , Houston TX , corner of Bengal / Little York )
and was runnin a grocery store
( being responsible )
two south americans ( most likely columbians )*
*the police later told me
these guys have no hesitation at all to shoot*
44 magnum pointed at my ribs , 38 special at my back
once they walked me to the two safes , mr 44 stayed for the loot
and mr 38 went down to the sales floor warning that...
" anything goes wrong in there , I'll start shooting people out here "
both where very shaky , and smelled like beer and sweat
in the end , the theiving cowards got away with about $3000
( from the top safe )
no shots where fired , no one was hurt , another $30000 remained
in the lower safe , because I refused to open it .

>If you need a gun a all, you're in trouble....

agreed 100% ,
every decision I made , during the few minutes those guns where out
could have been life and death decisions
my life , and others
If those thieves had seen a weapon on me that day
they would have killed me , and probably others
and if I had a weapon , the temptation to use it on those guys
would have clowded my judgement
