Dear Friends
...like every year for years...

Well, today (Jan 7th) is my 36th anniversary of participating
in the A.A. program. Successfully..so far...
I'm 70 now, but my life really began 36 years ago.

Thank God, thank AA Fellowship, great
thanks to all the people who contributed to
my new life.

Gratitude.

I'm staying sober. No compromises.

That's what fills my heart and my thoughts today.
I'm writing from hospital - some non-Covid lung
problems - hope to recover soon...

God bless

Nice to see you again, Pollux. I'd encourage you to post more
often, but the past many years of doing so don't seem to have had
an effect--so I'll refrain. :)

Congrats on the anniversary. Hope your health returns fully.

Congrats Pollux.

I can always count on you stealing my thunder. I had 34 on the 8th.

Congratulations to you as well! I find it amazing that people who got
sober following New Year's Eve stayed sober. It seems like resolutions
like that seldom last.

No resolution for me. That was when I went to jail and started serving
my sentence.

Don't go there. It's my job to do that and I'm giving him a day off.

I hit 40 on Dec 31st...I figured it was useless ringing in the New Year
drunk & stupid...Now, I'm working on the stupid part.

Are you saying you didn’t even bother showing the amateurs how to have one
last good one before the end?

My sponsor attended the big meeting in the sky around his 42 year
anniversary so you’ve got at least a couple good years left to find your
way…

Congratulations!

Sometimes, we can get that awakening before we get really serious...I
woke up on NYE and looked in the mirror and said ...I suck at this...I give.

I was dry and was on the outer edge of the fellowship, smoking weed as a
poor substitute, knowing I would probably drink again..I got serious,
started taking the steps, got two sponsors, and asked for help.
