Dear Friends

Well, today (Jan 7th) is my 35th anniversary of participating
in the A.A. program. Successfully.
I'm 69 now, but my life really began 35 years ago.

Thank God, thank AA Fellowship, great
thanks to all the people who contributed to
my new life.

Gratitude. And..sadness, unfortunately.

My son, Matthew (37), died in March 2021.
Coronavirus. No additional diseases, no risk factors.
He was not vaccinated.

I'm staying sober. No compromises.

That's what fills my heart and my thoughts today.

God bless

Wow. Congratulations are in order of course, but it doesn't seem quite
right to say given the news of your son.

Don't hesitate to join the fray.

We often speak of the benefits of sobriety but not often about how
sobriety enables us to deal with life's most painful events in a better
way. Happy Anniversary.

Congratulations on your 35 years of sobriety. Please accept my condolences
on the loss of your son. I have children close to the same age, and I
cannot imagine experiencing that pain.

Congratulations, Pollux. That's a lot of sober time!

So sorry to hear of this, I'll be lifting you up. And I agree
with Frank--we can be grateful for the grace to deal with life's
hardships as just one benefit of our program of recovery.

And I agree with Mark too. It's always nice to see your annual
post, but know we would always welcome hearing from you more
often. :)
