Biden is laid back and gives his company elbow room to deploy their
talents. He did this with NATO and two more countries joined. Germany
also moved to boycott Russian crude.

With older age comes deeper wisdom from experience. In dealing with
more important matters there is no place for frivolities, like putting
Biden to the test with archaic memory quizzes.

"laid back"
Crikey Jon!
If your Biden is laid back, what is our Barnaby?

extremely red complexion indicated he was one of us, I tend to believe his
story; that he tripped over during a call that was too important to allow
interruption.

Anyone with any sense who has seen Biden making speeches, walking, or
even just standing there can see he has mentally and physically lost
it. It's no surprise considering his age and the constant stress of
being president. Just look at the before and after pictures of
presidents and you can see how they age in the mere span of a few
years. Biden is incapable of being president for another four years,
but we all know that's not going to happen and this is all about
getting the vice-president elevated when he resigns or dies.

As you all know, I was no fan of Obama, but I lauded him for making the
decision to take out Bin Laden. That was no sure thing and he had to
figure out all the pros and cons of either outcome. Yes, their
consultants provide all the information, but the president ultimately
has to make that decision. Biden is incapable of processing all that
stuff and will do whatever his handlers tell him. Do you really want
that a president who is a puppet?

The Democrats need to replace him as their 2024 candidate ASAP.
They're kidding themselves if they thing Biden is their best chance
against Trump. I am not voting for Trump, but I'm not voting for Biden
either. I will hold my nose and vote for an alternative Democrat if
they can choose someone moderate, not Harris or Newsom. I'm not the
only one who doesn't want either candidate, but the Democrats have a
better chance of winning if they select someone else.

If Biden had any concern for the country he'd accept he's unfit, step
down and not run. But no he's in denial and stubborn. People like him
screw up the country and need to be blocked. I don't know how but it
needs to be done.

The only advantage is more skilled resources move in to compensate for
his weakness. The best government is minimal government and the throne
occupied by a dead, inert stuffed doll.

If they were to replace Trump as the Republican candidate, you might see
Biden step away, but that's not happening now.

Biden only got into the race in 2020 when it appeared the Bernie/Warren
faction might wind up with the nomination and hand Trump his reelection.
And now again in 2024, defeating Trump is the imperative. Biden did it
once, and we have to hope beyond hope he can pull it off again. He'd be
smart to replace Harris with Shapiro or Beshear or even Manchin, but
that's not happening either.

If you have a choice between a steaming pile of broccoli or a steaming
pile of shit, hold your nose and eat the brocoli, no matter how
distasteful. At least it won't kill you.

LOTE. Lesser Of Two Evils. A phrase coined by Ronald Reagan.

Both choices are horrible. I'm not sure which is worse.

Biden has opened up the country to gangs, terrorists, criminals and has
instructed his people not to prosecute anyone Black or foreign born.
On top of that he's incompetent and clearly comatose.

Trump demands loyalty and wants to be king.

Far less than all the gang members, terrorists and murderers Biden has
invited into the country.

Fact-checking paranoid GOP claims that people on terror watch list are
‘rushing’ the border.

Facts First: There’s no evidence of a sudden rush of individuals on the
terror watch list showing up at the southern border. The information
that is available is vague and leaves many questions unanswered. That
said, it’s entirely false to imply a small number of individuals on the
terror watch list coming to the southern border is a new phenomenon.
Furthermore, it’s worth noting that being on the FBI’s terror watch list
does not mean someone is a terrorist or has proven ties to terrorists.

Why should any of those crossing the Rio Grande be able to do so UNTIL
they have properly applied from admission to the states, dotting all the
i's and crossing all the t's? Not fair to those who DO use the legal
method of immigration.

I look at it the same way the American Indians looked at the "White
Man." Then I apply the serenity prayer strategy and note that I have
been fortunate to live in one of the best chapters of American history
and that I will be gone when the immigration, overpopulation and climate
change shit hits the fan.

Well, then, if you, too, invited fewer gang members, terrorists, and
murderers into the U.S.A. then did Biden, then you, too, qualify to be a
candidate. That's the humor. The REALITY is, of course, that being a
native-born American, over 35, you qualify...as you well know.

True enough. But enough of the "indigenous" bull shit re the current
term for AMerican Indians. Contrary to what some of their leaders claim,
they have NOT been here since the beginning of time--we are ALL
immigrants from someplace else.
IMHO, simply being among the FIRST homo sapiens to be in any particular
place, does NOT merit any special rights.

Is any poem more of a public institution than “The New Colossus”? Since
1903, when it was first displayed on a plaque inside the base of the
Statue of Liberty, Emma Lazarus’s signature sonnet has become one of the
most renowned and quoted poems on the planet. It has managed this feat
despite its author’s low profile during her lifetime, and despite having
nearly lapsed into oblivion before its enshrinement. By now the pairing
of sonnet and monument seems inevitable; the one has redefined the
other. Lacking the force of law, yet permanently fixed in American civic
culture, “The New Colossus” has carved out a literary niche all its own:
it is a credo, a gesture of “world-wide welcome,” and a magnet for
controversy.

You and that 'brutal bitch' Mother Nature. It does make for interesting
history:

In 2017, Canadians marked the 150th anniversary of their nation. But the
Canada that was created in 1867 excluded the people who already lived
there.

Historian Susan Neylan charts the ways Aboriginal Peoples have been
treated by the Canadian government and examines how the ideals expressed
in Canada’s motto “Peace, Order and Good Government” have not applied to
Indigenous people.

We have a similar situation in Australia.
Recalling claims of political correctness determining which anthropologists
did and didn't get funding, I started Googling for evidence that the
aboriginals fitting Dampier's description were only in Tasmania in the
years before Federation, and the aboriginals now in the regions Dampier
visited were more like New Guinea natives. Couldn't find it, but did find
this on our "woke" tv website:-
https://www.sbs.com.au/nitv/article/found-the-earliest-european-image-of-aboriginal-australians/yu3gr6pyr

What may interest some here is the "Woke" concept of abandoning Australian
sovereignty to these savages, and their (often blue eyed) descendants.
