On both android and iPad, my browser is set to ignore the add videos on
that URL. (But I can’t remember exactly how or when I did that) At least I
can say it can be done.

I started using BT keyboard and mouse years ago, leaving laptop hardwired
to TV.
On occasions have connected dual boot Linux/windows by Wifi ok.
Although I haven’t bothered for years, am confident could connect
BT/cast/TV with tablet or phone if I wanted.

If you’re not addicted to TV, why not use the TV for your laptop too? (I
have been known to switch rapidly between live TV and laptop ;-)
Surely even a spare TV with BT mouse/kb would be cheaper than a new
monitor?
Nevertheless, I’m sure today’s kids could sort their IT out sans computer
much faster than I ever could. :-)
