Can we go on and dig a hole 'nd put this stinking corpse away instead of
waiting until Thanksgiving Day? Odor is making me sick 'nd causing tears
in my eyes. ;-)

Or maybe just flip the handle of pull the chain if you don't feel like
digging?

http://the-old-gnu-zoo.org/photos/down_the_tubes.wav

How many holes ya gits in today?

Had a disk die early yesterday and just now getting main machine back
up. Decided to put my Win XP 64 Professional back on for a while until I
decide if I gonna spend any more money on MS. XP 'nd Mandriva went
pretty flawless once I got over my cryng jag, pulled up my socks, blew
my nose and got going on bringing the 'chine back to life. ;-)

Lemme know what you think we should do about the burial, so's I knows if
I needs sharpen a shovel 'r any thing.

All last week it was reported ....Rain and/or Fog all weekend. But
come the weekend it was clear and sunny ...Sat it was cool with some
pretty good winds ... today it was cool & sunny no wind ... got 18 in
both days ....

To heck with digging holes ...just let it fade away into the sunset.

I was thinking going Win 7 but would have to be a criminal to do it.

Just as well the puter decided to bork this weekend. Our weather was
yucky. Out about an hour ago and got cresent moon 'nd stars all purty
like now though. Cool 52 degrees. Not bad.

I was pleasantly surprised my XP 64 activated again without having to
holler at MS, but no prollem.

Actually most people around here are looking forward to the rain and
cool/cold weather .... but personally I lean more towards warm/hot.
The biggest weather bitch I have is the Tule Fog...when it really
rolls in I can't tell which eye I see out of. :)

When I was drinking and looking for something to do it didn't bother
me or at least didn't slow me down ... now I'm older and doing nothing
with a little more nothing that I want to do I don't like going out in
it ...especially driving. When it does roll in it will give me an
excuse to do a couple indoor projects I have put off.

I don't like the short days either!

Can't comment on that literally *yet* but, my world as I can
figuratively see, is gradually growing gray again, seemingly, regardless
of my squinting one eye to take better aim. Cloudy, grubby days or night
are gitten once again to be a, fuzzy, blurry, blight, if I forgets in
the morning to don my kaleidoscopic contact lens. ;-)

My gnu *bestest* buddy, similar to what "Old Trucker" was before he up
and died on me, who is, inside and out, a BBBW, a nurse with lot of
experience in psycho 'nd psychi, in addition to being and having a lot
of other good desirable things like an ability listen as well as talk,
and slightly afflicted herself with an empty nest syndrome, totally
affected with "Why fsck up a good friendship by fscken attitude" that
seems to have come about by lot of experiences similar to what I've had,
took off her nurses cap last night and tied a red Aunt Jemima rag 'round
her hed, 'nd in a 'round about way, chided me, "Charlie, I ain't never
gonna be no Bobby McGee, so I ain't gonna even try to be, but... 'pears
to me, thet disk din't die. Yew kilt it damn it, 'cause yew din't got
'nuff nutten to do over the weekend. I knows yew, don't try pull thet

look like you kinda neglected eaten while you engaged in all that nutten
you been doing last couple of days. I fix you plate to tek home wiff ya

> I don't like the short days either!

What damn days? You mean them brief interludes of dim light. ;-)

Sum songs to start the day in dim light of what been say 'bout thet
McGee thing what come creeping in. I seen the one down in Austin, during
a stop over 'tween Europe 'nd SE Asia, but don't remember whole hell lot
of it due to my cloudy condition at the time. Seems Janis was little
cloudy at time also compared to the rare studio take. Poor dubbing on
video on that one by who ever did it. Don't sound like I remembers it
being neither. ;-)

Harmlessly passing your time in the grassland away;
Only dimly aware of a certain unease in the air.
You'd better watch out!
There may be dogs about
I looked over Jordan, and I've seen
Things are not what they seem.

That's what you get for pretending the danger's not real.
Meek and obedient you follow the leader
Down well trodden corridors into the valley of steel.
What a surprise!
A look of terminal shock in your eyes.
Now things are really what they seem.
No, this is not a bad dream.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He makes me down to lie
Through pastures green He leadeth me the silent waters by.
With bright knives He releaseth my soul.
He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places.
He converteth me to lamb cutlets,
For lo, He hath great power, and great hunger.
When cometh the day we lowly ones,
Through quiet reflection, and great dedication
Master the art of Judo,
Lo, we shall rise up,
And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water.

Bleating and babbling we fell on his neck with a scream.
Wave upon wave of demented avengers
March cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream.

Have you heard the news?
The dogs are dead!
You better stay home
And do as you're told.
Get out of the road if you want to grow old.

Don`t be counting me as a northern Canadian-- I hate winter and I live
in Southern Ontario which in all likelihood may be even on a south of
where Tex lives. Parts of Southern Ontario lie farther south than
parts of Northern California. I love my country just hate the climate.

Mike ... I can't say I *love* my country ... nor can I say I * hate*
winter. Well, I could say both I suppose, but then one can say just
about anything.

I can say I prefer warmer weather over colder weather... I can say I
prefer my birth country over others I've been to and those I've read
about.

I don't hold to the automatics of birth ..... be it country, parents,
political leanings, etc....especially relatives. :) Guess it goes with

When the wives tell the husbands "You need to quit drinking",
that doesn't work, because it's special interest. When the
drunks meet and say "We need to abstain, and let's try it
this way", it works, because it's general interest.
