Thanx, Bill
We have stayed at the Rivers Edge campground on the south end of Pidgeon
Forge
a number of time and have throughly enjoyed it. It is a very nice
campground.
The people there are great, it has very clean and modern facilities, and
is
a short walk from the main drag. I have been to many other campgrounds
in the
area, and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else around that spacific
area
anymore. Good luck CW.
: Thanx, Bill
I've visited my sister in Sevierville a couple of times, and we stay at
the one about 5 miles south of I-40 exit 407, just off of route 66. I
don't remember the exact name but it's something with "Riverside" in
its name. It's right across the river from the state highway, and I
believe it's at the first traffic light south of the Smokey Mountains
Knife Works. It was about $15/night with water/elect/sewer/cable.
Best of all, it was nice and quiet, and easy to get to from the Interstate.
It's probably a 15-20 mile drive to Pideon Forge/Dollywood, but it's a
nice drive. And if you're towing a trailer, you don't need to tow it on
the secondary roads.

My wife and I go about every 6 months. There are lots and lots of camp
sights.
Have you ever been to Pigeon Forge?
There are several camp sights on or just off the main drag.
There are several just outside Gatlinburg on US441 and US321.
By any chance are you a member of AAA. They have a great campbook just
like their tour books but give prices and data on camp sights.
If you want I'll be glade to email some information or you can get some
data from the web page for Gatlinburg...I do not have the sight address
at this time.
We are planning on going back in May, weather then is cool evenings and
warm days.
Also great in October.
Have a great time.
