This might interest you! An old phone booth, placed in the 60s for local
miners,
located in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE (the Mojave desert in California.) NOT ONLY
THAT but it rings non-stop. You think I am kidding? Every second, people
from all over the world and the US
are trying to get through, to see if anyone happens to be near this phone.
Well, in order
to answer this phone, you have to make the long trek into the middle of
nowhere, up a 12 mile long viciously sandy road. You've got to see this
place! The booth has graffiti from past visitors, it sits alone among the
joshua trees (cactus trees), and as soon as you hang it up, it starts
ringing again!
I have some really good pictures of the phone booth and the desert area we
were in, plus the
phone log of all 450 calls we RECORDED, but we took a lot more in the 4 days
my friends and
I camped there this past New Year's, 2000.
If you're interested, curious, perplexed or just bored I'd really love if
you would visit
my website, I love sharing my story with people. It's one of the most
bizarre and exciting
experiences I've ever had! http://members.xoom.com/desertchad/

Certainly NOT the ORIGINAL website for the Mojave Phone booth!
Here's the URL for the original website. Oh and Tell Godfrey I sent you.

http://www.deuceofclubs.com/moj/mojave.html
Now This web site is the original. And for those of you wondering........ It's a
local call for me
LMAO. Of course this whole post by the originator is pretty much off topic. But
I couldn't help but respond.

Who would need that? I've never been there and I know I could find it no
problem. Hell for me it's head north on I-15, take Cima Rd exit, then head west.
PRetty much a no brainer if you ask me. Actually Godfrey used to have the GPS
info on his websie but took it off because of vandalism that occured to the
booth shortly after.
