Those numbers are for veterans. People who have seen it all and see no
hope. No hope. I see no hope for the fate of cyclists and pedestrians
either.

This may be my last post to rec.bicycles.tech...

My conviction that the bike mechanic would play a leadership role in
the revolution is not happening. I'd have liked to be bike mechanic
myself but instead I turned out a philosopher, a beach cruiser
philosopher.

Where does this all lead? I don't know. What I think though is that
bike mechanic has low suicide rates. I bet they don't see point in it.
Bike mechanics are practical people. The Tibetan Monks set themselves
on fire but nothing changes.

No more preaching to the choir for now.
