These people are currently under investigation and are on numerous
black lists. They buy services and then stop payment on checks. This
happened to me. I can't say how they deal with other people. But
beware of them. I can only speak to my experience with them.

That's an age-old problem, Millie. Best bet to protect yourself is to pre-qualify, ask for a credit card or money order.
These days with banks charging the receiver $25-$35 for a returned check, it's best to be safe than sorry.
At our site, we get people who request an advertisement and then never pay. We then have double the work.
