WE borrowed are scene from Hippes or the punks the only thing that changed is
the music.The idea's are pretty much the same.Basically have a good time.But i
think we(the older ravers)like the older hippes(are parents)have left a
irresponsible scene to the younger generatoin. We only taught them what drugs to
abuse and gave them a vague idea about what are cause (or plur)meant.John

another braindead crackhead. Are should be "OUR", dumbass. And that is not a
misspelling, that is just stupidity. A misspelling would be "hippes", as
seen on line three - right before our in-house genius typed "are" for "our"
again. Oh, "generation" is spelled like this, not like "generatoin". Your
statements are lacking credence when your syntax is so abstract.

Tripper,

It's generally considered impolite and unnecessary to correct another's
grammar and spelling on newsgroups. This is a smart policy, because
otherwise you'd spend *all* of your time doing so, since it seems like no
one can spell anymore. :)

Whatever the reason, Detter69 has been posting for a while and most of us
have learned how to decipher his or her pseudo-cryptic messages. I'd
suggest you find something more constructive to do than make fun of how
people type.

It's not like your messages are without mistakes, either. Those who live in
glass houses shouldn't throw stones. :)

Keep shinin',
Stan

Thanks Stan, for taking up for me.As for my spelling well I don't claim to be a
genius(opps did I spell that right).I think Tripper is just trying to take my
post off the subject of my post.My only other excuse for my mistypes are
fatique related.I went to Maine this weekend for Summer of love. This was a
intersting trip.9hrs up to Maine,about 9hrs of music,and fun,and then 9hr
drive back.On 2hr sleep at a rest stop then back home.Instead of going right
to bed I ran up to my local for a few beers with freinds, and wanted togo into
detail about my about my trip to this newsgroup.Yeah I guess posting after a
few drinks isn't the best idea. But basically I was just trying to sum of some
thoughts I had about my trip to Maine.Seeing a bunch of 16 yr oldish boys and
girls tripping, rolling, tweaking, and k'in had a pretty bad affect on me.I'm not
really sure I want to belong to a scene that encourages this kind of abuse to
a younger generation.

thanks detter69(is a he,isn't a crackhead,maybe braindead and creates
statements that are lacking credence when your syntax is so abstract.

The rave scene extends far beyond the all night dance parties. Anyone
with 20 bucks and a pair of UFO pants can go to a rave, even look like
a raver. But I would hope that our scene extends far beyond a couple
of fucked up 16 year olds, too busy "tripping, rolling, tweaking, and
k'in" to enjoy the party.

People have heard from every side that you can get E at raves. So
(surprise, surprise!) some people go to raves just to get E. They're
no more ravers than the stars of "Animal House" were STUDENTS.

The rave scene, to a true raver, does represent PLUR, and I think
people who come and really get to know the scene see that.
Unfortunately, there's no way to keep out the sweater-wearing frat
boys who just want drugs.

P.S. In the same vein as the rest of these posts...yes, Detter, you
spelled genius right...you misspelled "Oops" :-P

their credo I would really like to meet more cool people and let the crappy
few that tweakout and jump around on top of you and bump you ever 5 seconds and
take off without even saying excuse me or anything.Just got on my nerves at the
last event I went to.Didn't seem like there was much P.L.U.R. at this show.

quoting "tripper", with my comments added in brackets:

----- begin quote ----------------------
[no capitalization!] another braindead crackhead [no verb! incomplete
sentence!]. [quotes? you should be persistant, and change this to "ARE" like
you did "OUR"] Are should be [spelled] "OUR", dumbass. [not good to start
with "and," but this could be overlooked. makes the sentence sound awkward,
though.] And that is not a

misspelling, that is just stupidity. A misspelling would be "hippes", as
seen on line three - right before our in-house genius typed "are" for "our"

again. Oh, "generation" is spelled like this [this is weird, too. makes you
feel like he is pointing at something. should say something like "instead of
'generatoin,' the correct spelling is 'generation.'], not like "generatoin".
Your
statements are lacking credence [oh, bad syntax. should either change "are
lacking" to "lack," or change "when" to "because."] when your syntax is so
abstract.
----- end quote ------------------------

just to show that your being a bit of a hypocrite... hell, i probably
spelled hypocrite wrong, but i dont think anyone will bitch about it, since
i doubt anyone is perfect, themselves...

Not that it really means anything to what actually started this topic, but
more to what its evolved to... watching young people get fucked should not
get you down., grow up, people will live their own lives, you can make the
choice wether to be involved or not.

And for the record, anyone who drives 9 hours, goes to a rave for 9 hours,
then drives back for 9 hours, with only 2 hours sleep, is more stupid than i
can imagine. fatigue kills my friend, and no partys good enough to justify
you being dead. .

Here goes Mr.detter69 on the defense again.First off I would like to answer
your statement about fatigue.Yeah it was a hell of along drive. But did you ever
consider that I wasn't the only driver(or I'm I just stupid to)?Did you maybe
consider that 2hrs of sleep I had?Do you think i took those 2hrs of sleep at
a rest stop when I relaized that I was 2 tired to drive and a possible danger
to myself and others on the road??Yeah I try to be responsible.
And for you statement about "watching young people get fucked should not
get you down" yeah it does get me down.I'm not really sure about the scene in
Oz but I have seen to many things go wrong with people at events.I guess the
1st was in 97.When I and a group of freinds went to a club in miami. We all
decided to roll that nite. And one of the guys that i didn't know at all just
completly collapsed right across my lap with his eyes rolling to the back of
his head. And most of the people that I went with us were just to blasted to do
anything. It had a really bad effect on me and rolling never was the same after
seeing that go down.I guess it gave me abit of wisdom that there is a down side
to the party life.Do you think that teenagers could deal with these situations
when they arise?Well I have seen some older ravers not deal 2 well with it
cause everyone I was with was freaked out that nite and a few even swore off
drugs.I canrecall another nite in 96 when I was in London to see
grooverider.Met this kid that was going from the hostel that I was staying
in.He went as well and deided to eat 5 pills I tried to talk him out of it but
he did anyway.Wasn't to cool watching him hold his sides and puke for most of
the nite.I don't know how long you hve been into the scene but yes i started
like you."raving is the best thing in the world and all people shoud be
involved with it".I'm not sure how old the scene is in Oz but next time you go
to a party go with your eyes open and maye you will see what truly goes on at
parties. Not just going and jumping around and listening to music.Hey did I
mention that I worked in a club I've seen plenty of things in my days both good
and bad.Detter69(not a genius,badspeller and not a brainded crackhead)....Oh
and p.s.Michael don't worry about the guy with the pink pus coming out of his
rectum cause he is just a joker that post many silly things to get a rise out
of people. But if you have been at alt.rave for sometime you would have known
that and not posted a response to him.Look b4 you speak.p.s this again ins't a
personnel attack just clearing my head

yeah i know its not a personal attack, i guess it just highlights hoqw
different people are in different parts of the world. For example, i dont
know anyone who would go out and eat 5 pills at once (allthough i have a
mate that took 7 (3 md and 4 speed) over 24 hours once, but hes been
desensitized. I guess maybe im just naieve in my thinking sometimes, but i
spose theres always people that are out there simply to prove you wrong. and
im not saying that person is you. lol really off track. .. hrm. im gonna go
on a new tangent. lol
I dont think i remember saying "aving is the best thing in the world and all
people shoud be involved with it", i dont think that, however i do think
its a shame that most people dont get to experience the scene.

?Not sure where im going or where i started to go with this, so im going to
stop now, and before you think it, im not scattered 2day, my mind just
doesnt think very logically, and i have 6 bad english teachers to back me up
lol.

Anyways, if you ever come to aus/melbourne, ill show you the scene here, and
itll blow you away.

Michael from melbourne
