Did n e 1 else go to this party? It was the most fuct up event I've ever
witnessed. Chris (knowledge) had the makings for a absolute awesome
party. From the 5 ODs to three fist fights I was appauled to see what
our scene has been transforming into. There were things there I never
wanted to see, I joined the scene awhile ago because of the open safe
non judgemental enviorment but when I witnessed my friend being called a
dirty fagot and told to "Go get AIDS" I was shocked and when another boy
was called a nigger I actually cried. WHAT THE HELL IS GOIN ON!? Is
there n e thing we can do to fix the scene or has it just gone to far?
Please respond so that I can hear your opinions please.
Luv,Eric

i am thankful that i have never been to an event that had been nasty as that.
The reason i stoped going to clubs where everyoine is drunk is because i
couldnt stand how obnoxious everyone was and all the fights. There are alwasy
going to be those people who want to cause trouble. I guess we just have to
ignore them and make them go away.

i've been to couple clubs that flights r not uncommon. There r actually
people who enjoy these things. There's not much we can do, that's how the
world goes. There will always be those people floating around. The best
thing is to go else where, where u feel comfortable and safe. i'm just glad
that u didn't get hurt.

wow that is awful. i am glad that i have never seen anything like that.
and i thought that it was bad when people gave me funny vibes...
i hope that people do not begin to think that all parties are like that. i
have been to many that are so the opposite

I posted yesterday about this atrocious party. I seen guys get pissed on, 5
OD's, and I saw way more fights than just five. There was a HUGE rumble in the
parking lot after the party. There were lots of sketchy people selling bunk
shit. I almost got hit in the head with a rock. The exact same words came out
of my mouth as you...."what is our scene coming to ?" I honestly think after
that party, I am seriously considering quitting partying, yes I'm that serious.
For anyone else that was there they know exactly what I'm talking about. The
place was absolute complete chaos. I was disgusted with that party and most
of the people. I don't know what to do. peace. jEsSe.

It sounds like it was a big party. Go to smaller parties.
You won't have these problems. You might have other
problems if the promoter doesn't do his or her job ... but I
doubt you will see the sort of crap you mentioned. That is
what I started doing. Big parties kept pissing me off.
I've never been to a party as bad as the one you are
describing, but I've had a few bad experiences. Sometimes
small parties disappoint me, but nowhere nearly as bad as
some of the outrageously terrible big parties I've been to.

Here is a hint. Smaller fliers = better party. Its not
always true. But it often works out.

-jacques.

p.s. I'm not saying that all big parties are bad. I've been
to some really good ones. What I am saying is that when a
big party goes bad, it usually really goes bad.

Yikes, where did this party take place? I've never witnessed anything that
extreme in all my years of clubbing/raving (since 1990) although I don't go
to a lot of parties anymore

damn thats fucked up....defect to Canada....

i guess thats a pretty stupid suggestion....but...in a way...im thinking
that it might not be the scene but the community its in....if the
community you grow up in values things like peace, and respect, and
consideration for others then the raves there will be a good example of
it....the promoters dont do anything but bring the venue, the DJs bring
the music, but its the party kids in your town that bring the vibe...and
fucked up kids bring a fucked up vibe

i dunno...its not that simple obviously....i guess maybe its time to
release the idea that raving is a specific place or a specific time or a
specific group of people or a specific type of music or a specific drug
or a specific width of pants....its a specific state of mind...and you
dont need to keep going to these fucked up places to get there...

and also dont worry so much about the scene...it will be ok....nothing
good lasts forever....nothing bad lasts forever either....this one was
very bad but things will change....they always always do...

please dont lose hope...

thugs will NOT kill this whole beautiful thing....

but it will die without the real ravers that give it its life

just some thoughts.....peace :)

What event where you at? The All Out Sunshine Again that I went to was
great. And, I might note, the cops were *so* extraordinarily cool that I'm
mailing a letter to their chief of police thanking the officers that were
there. Sure, there were OD's... Ever been to a rave where there weren't? I
think you just noticed the ambulances more because they let us hang out on
the porches - right where the ambie's were pulling up.

I had a great time - but I can't figure how anyone could OD there - there
wasn't a damn real pill in the place!

well there were numerous ods I was with the people throwing the party
(knowledge) and they said people oded on G,K, and another girl took male
hormones instead of G by accident. How could u have a good time more
then 40% percent of the people had there stuff run from then by BTS? And
there are 2 unconfirmed rumors 2 people passed away one being a girl who
had resperatory failure from to much K.
Great Party, huh

This is true, this is true. I seen it on the news, one person died from an
overdose of G and there is another in coma. To the other person who said they
had a great time, that's awesom....I need to find you because not one person I
talked to enjoyed themself. How can anyone have fun at a party with BTS giving
everyone shit left and right ? and oh yeah, that comment about the bunk
pills...thats also too bad. I found plenty of good pills at that party, there
were diamonds going around, some ying yangs, and lots of those good snowballs.
Just don't buy from sketchy ghetto charaters, they'll rip you off and not even
think twice. thats it for now. peace. jEsSe.
