Anyone going to homelands this year, I am not sure, either homelands or
Mainframe (Frantic/Storm)

That spinning JavaScript clock is so incredibly annoying!!
I strongly suggest getting rid of it - it's not clever.

Also note that it's 'Return TO the Source' not 'OF'

I'd rather not but if its my only chance to see Jeff Mills, I guess I
just might.

Does anyone know if there is info on where Jeff is playing around the
world this year?
I found something about the Royal Fest Hall in May which might be
interesting (http://www.sbc.org.uk/music/sub_music/performance/18820.html?version=1)
but I'd rather hear him play a full on stomp set.

that's kinda my dilemma, I wanna hear some decent techno! in melbourne most
events are dave clarke/umek style techno events, yet you never find them
over here, supposedly the best place in the world for dance. bah, humbug!

Haven't been to lost in years, only been once but that was a night. Cant
remember who was playing, it was all a bit new to me then.

There's loads but it's a style thats a lot more popular in the midlands
and north. Try House of God or Atomic Jam in Birmingham or the Orbit
in Leeds as examples of long running techno nights.

Got off my arse, got brain into gear.
Found answer:
http://www.axisrecords.com/
He's playing Fabric as well which is a possibility cos it would feel a
bit like less of a mission (theres a risk he would play a set that is
*too* clever tho) although the pick of the bunch would have to be
Pressure at the Arches in Glasgow. Now that will be hard as nails ;)
Not sure I can be travelling that far tho ;)

Lost does look promising, and of course I know about Saiko (still yet to
make it - sorry!!), Defcon 1 plays the sorta stuff I like, but the 414 is
far from my fave venue, for milk and afterparties I like it, but otherwise,
I don't think the soundsystem is up to it.. Base looks good, but seems to be
Carl Cox rather than Dave Clarke if you know what I mean - will check out
the others, cheers Dale!

Why is it that I can never see Dales posts on Google until someone
puts the text in their reply?? Most annoying.

Been to Open to Torture, was pretty good but maybe its time I visited
again.
Uber at Cloud9 was one of my all time fave nights out.
Defcon1 is a bit more acid edged but good, their Easter specials are
always tops. The live electro violin palyer will always be scarred on
my mind, weird.
Base is fab too (if you can get a day off on friday;) the line ups
rarely have Carl Cox (when he was part of the team it was Ultimate
Base) but Brenda Russell, Colin Faver and Trevor Rockcliffe etc etc
are top flight stuff, they sometimes have excellant German guest DJ's
too.
Eurobeat I havent been to, Lost and Open all hours I've never even
heard of before.
So theres hope for me yet ;)
