Del is definitely one of the slammin' new oakland boys bumpin'
down here in HelLA. But soooo rarely! We got Exactly 5 HOURS
of radio play that's down PER WEEK;
a) 8p to 10p saturday on KXLU 88.9fm
"we came from beyond" DJ mikeN, and 11p to 2p
Straight ahead hip-hop, hard stuff, local and national artists
interviewed.
b) 11p to 2a saturday/sunday on KCRW 89.9fm,
"bustin' loose" DJ Todd Bisson and DJ michael mixxin' moore
Hip-hop, hard stuff contrasted w/ '70s funk masters and rare
groove rarities-we know the cultural roots, here's the musical
roots for you to study.
(Millitant Master Mixxx from 12a to 1a--lettin' 'em feel the
blast)
AND THAT'S IT THAT I CAN FIND ! ! !
IT AIN'T ENOUGH ! ! !
Everything else seems to be drowning in "this-week's-blakish-sounding-kids-off-the-block"
Dance-schmooze-weak-wac'ed stuff all day long. I wanna GAT you
up... Boys-to-mutha-****'in-record label ho's (that's just how
I feel, man...)
Since the death of Community jewel KDAY 1580am(24-hour programming
with a ****'in brain and a concience, You can't hear
but a jam or two every 2 hours or so intermixxed with punk, garage/grunge
bands, and other stuff during the day on KXLU.
Let's see some shout-out postings from around the country/countries
about who's jackin' it up on the airwaves in what cities ? ?
