and then I started thinking about East Coast rap, and the first
group that popped into my head was:
Black Moon.
Now this is one of my favorite groups now, but all Buckshot Shorty
raps about is killing fools and smoking blunts. Every song, every
verse.. I can't think of a songle song that he switches up the
topic.
Now, I don't like west coast gangster shit at all, but I love the
Black Moon shit and most of the East Coast shit... and then I figured
it out.
All the shit out there is the same.. people on the East and the West rap
about the same shit, neither coast can accuse the other of shit.
But being a producer, I tend to look at production, and I like
East Coast style beats better than West Coast beats... I like
the East coast rap style better than the west coast rap style.
That's all there is to it. It's not that the East Coast shit is so
much more original or whatever.. its just my personal taste.
And if you listen to the shit that P_Funk was saying, it was basically
the same thing... and fools was jumpin all over him saying shit
like he didn't shit if he didn't like Tribe or Nas or Wu-Tang or whatever...
later... Vlad
Mortals...

Yea, I've often wondered for how long these themes will play a significant
part of the rap Liturgy.

Probably until people are killing anymore. You know a lot of the killers
get pumped when they hear some cool lyrics over smoothed out beat, talkin
about things they do in everyday living.
