I have no "hidden agendas"... I have one agenda, hip-hop music. D'yall
want to know something? I have in the past 24 hours ate NOTHING and slept
for only two hours, yet I never felt better. Why? Because this morning
the radio manager for KBVC opened up the studio and I got to cut n slice on
the tables for an hour and a half!! It was truly wicked... two Technics
1200s with all the crossfading and DJ action you could possibly hope for.
Plus, to my astonishment and suprise, KBVC actually had HIP-HOP vinyl! I
got to cut up Too $hort, run Rob Base and EZ Rock, and toss it up with
Run-D.M.C. and BizMarkie... I'm still riding on a wave of aural ecstasy...
best of all I got it ALL ON TAPE!!

Why am I mentioning this? Because there is no such thing as a "mythical
pure" hip-hop... ask Afrika Bambaata some time and he'll tell you. I
repeat, I have NO PROBLEM with experimentation of musical styles, but if
you compare your average hip-hop record to one mixed with R&B, 9 times out
of 10 your average hip-hop records sounds BETTER! Think about it...

PEace to the true innovators like Guru, Supercat, and all those who can mix
styles with SLAMMIN RESULTS.

And if you want to listen to Enigma or RATM, that's your choice, and more
power to you.
