Snoop Dogg Disses Suge Knight And Xzibit
By Chuck 'Jigsaw' Creekmur, BET.Com Staff Writer

Posted August 13, 2002-- On the latest DJ Kay Slay mix-CD, West Coast
OG Snoop Dogg has issued a new, scathing dis to Suge Knight and the
roster of Tha Row Records. The song, "Pimp Slap," also jabs at Kurupt
and onetime ally Xzibit. "The bully needs to get checked. It's long
overdue," Snoop told BET.com, "F**k Suge Knight for real."

On the song, Snoop says to Suge, "...In the paint playing post/ I back
ya down like Shaq Daddy/ and bust on ya out the new Caddy/and skirt up
Wilshire Blvd/... I got the word on you Simon [Suge]/you just need to
start rhymin'/ 'cause you're the biggest star on your label/ and them
other ni**as are just crumbs off my table..."

Of Kurupt, Snoop says, "A lot of ni**as should have said it/ f**k em
but I'm gonna say it for 'em/ Stop it, pop it, rewind it and play it
for em/...Suge Knight's a b**ch and that's on my life... Your rappers
and artists tell em shut it up/Cuz I'll f**k every last one of them
up/Especially Kurupt, see that's my lil homeboy so he knows what's
up."

In various interviews, the Long Beach native has made it known that he
found it hypocritical when his cohorts-in-rhyme Dr. Dre, Xzibit and
Eminem waged a vicious lyrical assault on producer/rapper Jermaine
Dupri, but have never mentioned adversary Knight on record.

In May, Dre recorded "What You Say" with Eminem, a song that dissed
Dupri. Also, Xzibit recorded an anti-Dupri freestyle that appeared an
Eminem-hosted DJ Kay Slay mix-CD. After the songs dropped, Snoop told
LA's Power 106, "Don't just gang up on the little man [Jermaine
Dupri], diss the big man [Suge Knight] too. Don't do it half-way. Diss
anything that's getting at you."

In an interview with The Source Magazine, Xzibit admitted that he
didn't want to be included in Dre, Snoop and Daz's squabbles with Suge
Knight. "Nobody gonna feed my 7-year-old if I get smoked behind some
rap music...I wasn't there when Death Row started," he said.

In the past, Snoop has been vigilant in dissing Suge with songs like
"Death Row Is Bi**hes." Snoop was also in a brief altercation with
Suge Knight at the 2002 BET Awards in June in Los Angeles.

In related news, Snoop recently dropped a compilation album, Snoop
Dogg Presents Doggy Style All Stars, Welcome To Tha House Vol. 1. The
album features appearances by Cam'ron, Lady of Rage, RBX, Alchemist,
DJ Premier, Special Ed, Lady May and Hi-Tek.

The song mentioned is on the new Snoop album. Kinda set
up like Cube's "No Vaseline", at the end of the album, with
Snoop introducing it with, "It ain't over, muthaf***s..."

Xzibit saying he doesn't wanna be involved because he
is concerned about his life is saying a lot about Suge
Knight.

I like the track, combined with the lax flow. Reminds me
of "Tha Doggfather" which was one hell of a funky LP.
